So on monday, The best band in history of music, Tool released their new single titled Vicarious. Being a fan of tool for the majority of my lifetime I was extremely worried they may 'jump the shark' and end up releasing a sub-par album. After hearing the new single I'm pretty sure this is not the case. Vicarious could perhaps be one of the best tracks they have done to date. The lyrics/message rival AEnema, and that's a tall order if you are familiar with that track. Yesterday they announced a mini tour and luckly they will be coming here to Detroit to play the Fox theatre! Everyone should check it out, I'm off to pre-order the CD as I've heard it encludes some great artwork. Later Dummies emoji

I just heard the single myself...I liked it. Like you said...it reaches back to Aenima...maybe a little to much IMO. As long as the new album rocks harder than Lateralus I'll be happy.

Just listened to it... Thanks Dino. Sounds freakin great. I hope they come somewhere close to me. Hell I would go to Detroit to see them. They came here about 2 years ago and it was the best concert I've ever seen. Would not hesitate to go 5 hours to see them again.

i never claimed that he did. I know who invented it, but I figured stern would be the place that most people heard it. I simply asked if he was a stern fan. emoji

Stern Fan? Yeah, for years. I got Sirius, and I work for XM. Heh.

Listen to the lyrics guys!

Cause I need to watch things Die, from a distance. Vicariously I live while the whole world dies.

Why can't we just admit it, we won't hit pause until the blood is flowing.

It's genius. I just got the whole cd leak today, I can't wait to listen to it. Looks like as usual i'll be at work until like 10 or 11 tonight. :/

I'm not a fan. I heard it on the radio a couple weeks ago and it sounds just like Lateralus or whatever. That "I know the pieces fit" song. emoji

Vanessa is a big fan. They're her favorite band, but even she's thinking it's sort of weak so far. That, and selling tickets for $66.66 when they play Phoenix? Gay. emoji

Sold out here in Phoenix in 5 minutes. Last I heard, tickets were going on eBay for close to a grand. My buddy, who got tickets for his GF (who is a huge Tool fan, but not into 311, his favorite band) told me he's thinking about a new bigscreen TV... emoji
