South Florida people, what's a good site to look at to check for apartments in the area? I'm looking for something on the cheap, $650ish or less. I won't be spending a whole lot of time there so I don't need the best place in the world, just a place to sleep every now and then. It will be just me, so an efficiency or one bedroom would be ideal.
I'm not totally sure this is going to happen, my company wants to move me down there all expenses paid (including rent). It's up to me on whether I want to move there or not.
What are the living expenses like? I know hurricane season is coming, and that has me a little nervous, but other than that, I can live with the sun.

Yeah, I've been looking around and it looks like I'm going to have to bump the rent up a bit. I'm in Florida so much recently for work, just the cost savings of my company not having to fly me down there all the time will be huge - so I have room to haggle.
Thing is - I will on;y be sleeping at this place about 8 times a month (weekends) so I don't need the best place in the world. Just somewhere close to either the Fort Lauderdale airport or the West Palm airport.
From what I've been hearing so far, Ft Lauderdale is getting pretty congested as far as traffic is concerned. I noticed a bit of that when I was down there last week. I'll be there again next week, so I'll be able to check out some apartments hopefully.
What do you guys think it will take moneywise for a decent studio / one bedroom?

Okay - Looks like I'll be going to the Orlando area instead. It looks a little cheaper there. What neighborhoods are decent to live in, and what should I stay away from?
