#6862, "anyone familiar with paypal / ebay and buyer credit"

i'm planning to make a purchase using paypals buyer credit for an ebay item (tokico shocks, struts, and lowering springs), but I've never used it before and I wanted to make sure of something before I "commit to buy" on the auction.

Will they let me use up my 300 dollar credit limit on the paypal buyer credit, then pay the remainder out of my account? That way a 475 dollar item would only cost me 175 up front, with 300 on credit?

If anybody knows it'd be a huge help, thanks!

The way it works for me is they take everything out of your account that is showing as a balance first, then whatever is left over comes from credit. I am not sure if you can change that it does that or not, that my .02

lol I just went though this, go into your profile, then under the bank acout and credit card section click on "pre approved purchases" Their you can selct how you want pay pal to make a payment either bank first or credit first. Set your credit card as a primary and leave the bank account off. Then go on ebay and buy the item, it will ask you how you are going to pay, select the pay pal circle and click continue. It will ask you to sign in and all, then it will show a box that says pay now. If you scroll down past that box under that is all of you payment options and form their you can choose credit card first and then your pay pal balance.
