For those of you who dont know what philadelphia is like during the night time, it's basically organized street racing on back city roads, alleys, or even mainstream roads. Well last weekend my buddies and I took a routine trip (every month or so) to get some racing in. Well my friend just bought a hooked up Protege (turboed model) and we decied to take my car, my buddys GTP, Sti, and his new Protege. Arond 2 am we see the protege rolling over to the side of a back road( area police just broke up). so we check out the car because given the circumstances, it wasnt a good area to be hanging around @ 2 am. Well turns out his MAF sensor ended up being loose and little did we know he needed some tools to fix it. At this time, we had been wacthing a Spec-V sitting by us w/ some1 in the car. Next thing we know, the guy gets out. Upon closer look, we noticed it was a undercover cop, full uniform and everything. He actually handed us a tool, and began talking cars with us. He said they're cracking down on racers coming to philly every other night. We are from delaware (20 minutes fromphilly) so the cop didn't want to do all the paperwork and time it takes to file something he didn't see us doing (racing)... or that HE saw... Anyways, he saidthe fines are doubling, and soon enough theyll be impounded cars, whethere you are participating or spectating. Point proven, as another friend of mine went down the following weekend, an WOULD HAVE recieved a $450 ticket, until the cop became aware my buddy was a member of the ARMY. So for anyone who goes to or knows of the philly night scene, be careful where and who you are racing. They're crackin down at a whole other level, new cars, new faces, and new locations to bop people at. Banned
