I did, but I'm not sure if I know it well enough to help. Go to a local community college and get a text book on it. Sounds nerdy I know, but you would be surprised how much can be done in Access and Excel once you learn.

I also want to be able to input materials with a cost per sq/ft and have it calculate the cost with a measurement. Is that possible?

OKay maybe this makes more sense

I'm using A service Manager Template and I need the cost of parts table linked to the retail parts price.

I'm not doing the programming shit, my dad is. I have no clue about this program at all.

Okay, so you already have a template. I assume it looks like this

Column1: Column2 Column3
Material material cost retail cost

All the above is already stored in one or more tables, correct?

Next, you want to input in a specific measurement, and output a material cost, and a retail cost. Correct?

Do this by running a query. Put the "cost of parts table" and the "retail parts price table" into the query. You can make a query that calculates all the materials that are say measured by length. You place material into field 1, material cost into field 2, and retail cost into field 3. Into field four, simply input in your length, and after that put *material cost. This will be the total material cost. Do the same for field 5, length*retail cost. This will be your total retail cost.

Finally, you want to print invoices using all the above work. Do the "create report" option, and have them output exactly what your invoices are supposed to look like. There are a lot of options here.

all it sounds like to me is you are trying to link two tables. and just multiply square feet x price to get final cost? If so, there are a hell of a lot of easier ways to go about multiplying two numbers together.
