Google's been battling back and forth with MS for months now with their web apps. I think it's cool that they're going to try their own OS. Lets see how much their stocks rize now. They've already gone up like $10 a share since yeterday.

I don't see either as a necessary requirement. The only real benefit of 64bit computing is the ability to address disgustingly huge amounts of memory which, for a budget machine, is a useless addition.
