Good morning, afternoon, evening, I am still new to the site but I am getting more familiar with it as I go. I am on deployment and was thinking how many people have been deployed before on this forum? I have seen that a few people have base decals in their pictures and though it would be interesting to see who has all been were in the military.
A little about myself and my experiences in the military. I have been in the marines for 3 years with 2 deployments. I am a heavy equipment mechanic. I work on john deere, cat, kalmar, ect. I have been to Afghanistan before from 2009-2010. I am almost done with my second tour here in Bahrain. I was on the list for Afghanistan (12-1) but would not have enough time on my contract to finish the deployment.
Finish? What is this "finish" you speak of sir? Dsm's are never complete just temporarily put together.

Yes. I definitely had my share of spending deployment money on parts.
Now on to my criticism... Capitalize the letter I. Use some spell correction. Use some damn punctuation. Your Subject line makes no sense. You are Marine for crying out loud. At least present yourself that way.

I corrected some of the errors that I did not see last night when I was typing. Thank you for correcting me. I re-read my post and was amazed what I typed. I would not expect any less from a sgt tho.

i'm still air force but a flyer now. was in baghdad for a 365 in 2006 - 2007. got back about 3 months ago from afghan and other parts and about to leave again. so yeah, there's a few of us around

Dave, you have been to some pretty sweet places If I remember correctly. I'm 6.5yrs in with the Navy and done 3 deployments, two of which were Carrier deployments either as ship's company working on the Catapults or as F/A-18E maintainer. My most recent one I was out in Afghanistan playing Army or as we all joked a "NArmy Saildier" pulling Guard duty.

I was in the Navy also, as a submarine mechanic. I spent three years in Pearl Harbor. (tough duty!) I deployed to Japan, Korea, Guam, and Canada. My goal was to travel and I did just that.
