You aren't a Mythbuster, you don't get to leverage that line. Deal with it.

Fortunately Chrysler is about to undergo a renaissance, with a little Italian assistance. Hello 6.4 Hemi... Give it 4 years, and you mark my words, there WILL BE a 7L Hemi by then. You'll see a resurgence of all things old-school USA within the next 5 years, I guarantee. Granted, our Italian counterparts will be driving innovation, but style will shift back to us, just you watch...

As much as Mitsu being complete jack asses for killing all things fun, since our cars are more American than Japanese, I say too bad. I wish Mitsubishi would have the same performance-minded outlook as Nissan and Subaru, who satisfy both hippies and gearheads, but instead they embrace Toyota's (and now Honda's)ethos, where it's one OR the other. And yet, American car companies are now (finally) giving people fun, affordable(ish) cars. Dodge's '11 lineup has some nice, quality revisions (even Top Gear's review of the new Charger wasn't too bad) and Ford is finally bringing the Focus ST State-side.

This is just a repeat of the '70s gas crisis. Sooner or later, we'll get fun cars again. But, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi will have to work harder to get some of their core customers back from the Big Three (... and Hyundai), who have learned (...maybe) from their mistakes. We have, it seems, some of the last exaples of fun, cheap, and (at least some of us) fast sport compacts. I got into some new cars at the dealerships and I like the new attention to detail, but something is missing. I think it's the raw, unrefined nature of our cars. To me, it's what makes our cars enjoyable.

That really sucks. I was really considering one next year because my daughter is getting my Eclipse....what now?

Maybe they will be selling them cheaper to get rid of them.

The distant fucking future. Battery and charging tech is still too pathetic to make for an efficient vehicle.

Good luck finding an 07 in the us emoji. I've had my Evo for 4+ years now and still love it. Sometimes I wish I had something newer but then I hit an onramp and it doesn't matter. Maybe will test drive a X in a few weeks when I get my timing belt changed just for fun.

Was 06 the last model year for IX then? I thought the Xs didnt start until 08? Either way, I want the newest IX I can afford. Id probably settle for a VIII but Im shooting for a IX.

'06 was the only IX model year sold in the US. No '07's then they came out with the X in '08

Top Gear tested the Tesla. And I believe it went around the track two or three times and died. The battery might last if you drive like your nut got cut off, but once you mash the throttle, you will drain that battery. Plus, I want to hear my car running.

Screw them both. Why would you want either when next year you'll be able to drive one of these?

Current EV's are useless. Give me gasoline or hydrogen, please. As long as current EV's are all battery, they're useless.

I dont know dude, something about the "big mouth bass" look that reminds me of 2gbs and Evo Xs sets it off. I like it. Also got a bit of GT-R in there.

Yea there's a story behind the Top Gear test of Tesla. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/22/bbc-responds-to-teslas-top-gear-complaints/

It's called top gear bias against almost anything American.

Anyways yea, electric cars don't have the range yet. But it IS the future. The big boys are putting a lot of emphasis into this now, as evidenced by what I saw at the detroit auto show.

If you don't think that car is fucking amazing looking, then you wouldn't know style if it pitched a tent in your ass, just saying.

Personally, I think that Dodge is the only American manufacturer, and perhaps the only non-exotic manufacturer in the world that keeps the "I'm going to smash your face into the fucking concrete" look. Something sports cars have lost, in my opinion.

I really enjoyed Ferrari and Rolls Royce's "hybrid/electric"
offerings. And I agree that an alternative fuel source must be found. But I'd rather have a Honda Insight than a Prius any day. If we're going to look at anything, from what is currently feasible, hydrogen is the best way to go, period.

I don't care for the Charger's big mouth in the pic. Not the size, just the shape. It looks a little conflicting with the style of the rest of the car. And I know the Viper pic is a rendering, but those wheels look like space daisies. Too flowery for a super car. It's best to keep rim styles like that on a Beetle. I will say I'm quite impressed with Dodge as of late. It seems, as a company, they need to risk going under and then be saved by someone else to get their focus back on track. Going on their site and looking at the revised Chargers and Challengers definately impressed me.

Great googly moogly! I think it's funny people are flipping out with the death of EVO's. You guys do know that the same team that designed the Hemi combustion chamber, designed the 4g63 head right? And why on earth does anybody like the idea of a 4-door Charger? That thing is fucking ugly as sin, and it has no roots grounded in the original muscle scene.

Oh, and Toyota dropping of out of the sports car market? Whatttabout the LFA? Or Honda's whole FIT racing community? Pick up a Car and Driver guys, there's a new Audi Quattro and a new Lancia Stratos based off of a Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

People are too scared of change. And if you guys really want to work on the 4g63 THAT much in the future, get a Hyundai Genesis 2.0T.

I'm not griping, I'm just wonderin' what all the hub-bub's about, bubs.

Go Before Show, Wakka Wakka, Your Honduh's Effin' Slow!!!
Ask Me about 420A RWD FTW!!!
