Is it just me, or some of their new cars actually looking nice?
Granted aside from the Genesis line none of them look to be anything but dull turds to drive around in for performance enthusiasts, but looks wise I think they've come a long way. I'd lease one for $200/mo.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but I kind of like the styling of the new sonata, the forte (although more of a girls car like the scion tc IMO), the sportage, and of course the genesis
Oh and as to not upset anyone, obviously none of them look as good as a 2g DSM

Hyundai and Kia both have come a long way in the last 15 years. I can't say I'm not impressed with their progress, and I can't say I don't find the Genesis to be an attractive car.
Would I ever own one? Probably not... but I'm extremely picky when it comes to my cars.

I was just having this convo with a co-worker a few weeks ago after seeing a new Hyundai sedan on the way to work that actually had a nice Mercedes Benz type look to it. Personally I wouldn't buy one for myself only because I still have doubts on their reliability after seeing my buddy's old Elantra fall to pieces. The Kia's still look like crap to me though.

The dealership next door to my work is a hyundai dealer and I find myself staring at the genesis coupe occasionally. The wife and I actually like the new kia sportage and soul. Like others, we probably wouldn't buy them but they are nice looking and from what I hear their quality has improved by leaps and bounds.

I like the Genesis also....might consider it if I get another two door coupe. My daughter gets my Eclipse within the next couple years so I need to find something to get? I'm still leaning towards the Lancer Ralliart though

A buddy of mine picked up a Genesis 2.0T with the Track Pack. The fit and finish on that car is amazing. It's tad on the portly side but it's an absolute hoot to toss around.
Short of Chrysler's Lifetime warranty you can't really beat Hyundai's 10 year / 100,000 mile.
