The car was $5700 ($6000 after taxes and such) and after a quick addition in my head, I came up with at least $10,500...and that doesn't include the $2000+ paint job I will be getting soon. About $700 was on body (for a 2gb swap) and about $1200 on ICE (7" touchscreen DVD player), the rest was all in the engine bay. This is on my GSX, btw.

Paid about $10 for the 2gnt in 2000 and put around 7-8G's into it.
- turbo kit, wheels, cf hood, new engine, headunit/subs/amp, etc.
Paid about $12000 for the VR4 in early 2005 and although I have only spent about $500 in aftermarket parts, I have put another 2500+ into in after the transmission went and I also needed new tires.

2009 Corolla S - waiting until 2012 for my next toy!

Paid $7000 for the car in 02'. $1600 on rebuild. About $1200 in other misc. crap parts. $1300 on a body kit that needs to be sold. $1500 on wheels and tires. About to plunk down about $500-600 for paint here in the next few days (will post pics). Still need head work done and boost. I still got a while.

Cold air intake, hydrolock and bent valves. first time
Second time, bottomed out on oil pan and starved it spun a bearing.
third time- dont know how, long night of driving, went to pass someone and threw a rod through the front of the block. Bad luck i guess man.

spent 4350 on the 1g almost two years ago, have put maybe $6000 at the max, hoping to rip off low 12's this year if not dip into the 11's.

paid 9500 or so for the RS 4-5 years ago, like 2001-2002 or something. bought some rims and a suspension and a stereo, that would be like 1800 or so. emoji it needs a timing belt and the suspension re worked now though so we are looking at probly another 800 at least, the question is WHEN will i do it or shall it sit for a while.

bought a 95 neon a few weeks ago, 275 bucks. putting about 200 bucks or so into the timing stuff and it should be good. im liking the way this is starting out. emoji

paid 3000 for my 02 954RR, needs a new tire but my woman is buying that for me once it gets warm enough to ride a lot around here.

Daisy:
$14,000 for the car. $6,000 or so under the hood.
Needs new headgasket, cam gears, and completion of MSnS install to be complete.

E39AX68:
$1,500 for the car. $84 on random trim pieces to make the interior nearly new.
Needs new engine, battery, handful of free mods to be complete as reliable daily driver.

GS-T:
$1,500 for the car. $5 on a can of PB Blaster.
Needs running condition 6-bolt taken out and cleaned up for the E39A. Needs radiator removed for the E39A to facilitate SRT FMIC install. Needs shifter removed for bling factor in the E39A. Needs someone to be in the market for a black, 90 GS-T project car in good condition and for this person to show up at my door with $500. Either that or some comprehensive coverage and someone to just steal the fucker. emoji

Last one (2g) was $20k for the car and another $20k in parts. Current car (Evo) was $30k and I have probably $4k in mods on this one. I'm starting to seriously consider trading in/up to an Evo IX MR...

2k paint
3k mods
1,500 repairs
15k for the car in 2000

The car still has a long way to go.

TALON:
Paid 10k out the door in March 01
950 for new wheels/tires
200 for exhaust
150 for intake
350 in stereo stuff

ECLIPSE:
paid 500 cash to a local used car lot (car had been sitting in the woods since July 97) Long story.
250 at the parts store/junkyard first weekend I got it.
40 bucks for a new gas tank
100 bucks for a new ECU
Figured out I had a dead cylinder:
50 bucks machine shop
95 on MLS headgasket
50 for new ARP's from a friend
75 on timing belt set
50 on belts/hoses bullshit
It should be running this weekend hopefully.
