Haha, you annihilated that damn crank sprocket just like Hamelth.

Great videos and thanks for posting. Brought back memories! You know what you are doing, what platforms have you worked on before the 420a? Still never bought into the honing school of thought, but everything looked great.

So what model of the AIC do you have, what year is your car, and what do you have the AIC controlling? The AIC has had a lot of problems with our platform, I'd like to know how things have progressed.

Wish my brother would help out that much emoji

If you used that gasket maker you were holding in the first video when you were talking about sealing the bedplate to actually seal the bedplate, then you're in for some problems down the road.

The tolerances on the bedplate require anerobic sealant. The Right Stuff is too thick and won't allow the bedplate to be torqued down properly. It also won't cure without air. You'll either get leaks or a spun bearing. or both

Yup, not much I could do now. Ive used this stuff for 4g63s in the past and it worked awesome but this is my first 420a. I don't think It will have a problem curing because after one minute of exposure the sealant starts the hardening process, plus I used a very thin layer and the heat from the block should cause it to dry. Im more concerned with the clearance issue. I didn't think of that but the clearance can be effected. Ill use a thicker oil just in case but yeah if I could do it all over again I would just for the peace of mind.

you're not running rich because of your FP, you're running rich because your downpipe w/ the o2 isn't on

So I didn't even put 600 miles on it and my speedometer stopped working. Turns out my speedometer drive gear came loose off of my drive axle, ouch. I must have had some water in my tranny that caused the nylon gear to expand and came loose. I should have flushed the tranny because it was sitting for a wile and i suspected some moisture. So now I have to pull my tranny out and tear it all apart to replace this $10 part. Well maybe I'll replace my differential with a LSD wile Im at it. This would be a good time to upgrade my clutch too but I don't have the extra cash right now, sux.

if the speedo gear fell, and its all chewed up, you probably have pieces all in the synchros too. I would completely pull it apart, clean, reassemble.
