#43603, "what the hell is this car??"
Mar-01-10 08:14 PM by Hedge

My friend and i were walking around in a car lot tonight, and in another yard close to it, i found this on a trailer. We both couldnt guess what this is. There were no badges on it at all and it was in rough shape with fiberglass fenders being put on. The front end looked like a datsun or some sort of porshe. It was rear engine and pretty short. mostly wood dash, but it could have been plastic. I grabed this pic on my cell before i left.

Thank you mobil one for rust proofing my driveway.

It`s one of those cars where no other car looks like it. A bit odd and not proportioned quite right, but kind cool in it`s own way.

As others have said it's a Lotus Europa. They're a hell of a kick to drive if you get one of the later ones with the big twin cam engine. I'd love to own one, preferrably a John Player Special, but those go for premium dollars even in horrible condition emoji

How much power did the later ones put out? It`s got to feel strange having the back so high, killing rearward visibility.

The later ones made ~125hp but they only weighed 1500lbs. The small rear windscreen isn't a big deal because it's right there at your head.
