Do you have to weld that DP on or is it an open exhaust set-up?

Now I got a question, my math teacher in HS had a gpx and I was told my him that it was turboed, but all of the gtp's that I have seen at the track have root style chargers. I am guessing either the guy didnt know the difference between a turbo and a charger or they really came with a turbo.

They come supercharged but I have heard of peopole turboing them. Some website w/ top times for bonneville's and Grand Prix/Am's. Had a couple running 10's. Dunno what I would do if I saw a 10 sec Bonneville.

there is a 10 sec regal on the main gp site that i frequent. he's got a whipple supercharger instead of the regular gen 3 m90 that is on my car. funny thing is there is a company out there which i buy some of my stuff from who have a ported gen 3 m90, among other things, and they are pulling off 9 sec timeslips. i think im gonna stop at 11's.

it's quite possible that it was turboed, but if it was, he did it himself. all higher model grand prix's, the bonneville ssei, and regal gs came from the factory with eaton m90 blowers.

Well looks good but becareful, hit more then 250 at the wheels and kiss the poorly made GM transmission good-bye. the problem with GM is they cannot build a good transmission.

the stock tranny can hold a little more than that. i should be making around 250whp after the downpipe and u-bend delete are on and ill be fine. you don't have to worry about upgrading the transmission until you are hitting low 13/high 12 sec 1/4's and some people have actually been able to do high 12's on the stock tranny and still drive it around every day. of course, i plan on hitting 11's with this car in a year or two so i am rebuilding the tranny next year.

Actually I believe the only year they came factory with a turbo was 89 if I remember right. It was only made one year I know that much. I know around like 2000 they made a GXP which if I remember right has a V8 but I'm not quite sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Either way I think it would be badass to take like a GT and turbo it from there or hell maybe even a GTP then make it a super turbo, lol that would be awesome. Although I think one of the major downsides to the GP's is that they never gave them a manual option and of course FWD = boring. Thats just my opinion though. I still love those cars and would love to have one as a daily driver. Oh and yeah my 2gnt is turboed and I think its boring as all hell and annoying having FWD. God I need something RWD or AWD. Sorry for the kinda rant.
END RANT.
