#41431, "anyone have a place I can stay?"

whats up guys...

so, life is taking a big fat shit on me again and Im looking for some help. I lost my job and being evicted for bad credit (even though ive been here 7 months). I dont have jack shit for money but im a badass TIG welder and make all kinds of art and parts for cars.

What im looking around to see is if anyone here would do a work/trade thing perhaps and just give me a place to lay my head at night. I live in Oregon but nothing is really keeping me here since there is little to no work for TIG welders. Unfortunately years ago I fucked up with credit and all that, so now I am being judged for it and its pretty fucked up.

anyone have a garage space or something they would trade for welding/fabrication or whatever else physical work or otherwise? Im super mellow and down to earth, and i'll survive this somehow/

thanks bruthas

I truly wish I could help you. Michigan's economy is not the best either. In Michigan you will survive if your going into the Medical Field as I have stumbled my way into after trying to become a Police Officer with no state funds to support an academy yet.

I hope someone can help you. I truly wish you the best of luck.

Stay positive bro. it'll turn around.

I'm in same boat as you about credit.

What could do is make a list of all of debts from low to high or minor to major etc..

Take care of the small ones or few major ones (example renew drivers license, tags and car insurance)

When job hunting you don't need to be pulled for bad tags.

Then tackle each one on your list rest will follow.

If you're a certified welder, try those Temp. employment services just a suggestion. You could have luck with them, I know here in Oh they always looking welders, both journey man and company.

Just thought I'd throw in that the midwest (wyoming utah north dakota south dakota) is using up welders like crazy. My uncle does it and NEVER has trouble finding a job.

If you can weld underwater, there's a huge demand down here. Also the shipyards are always looking for welders.

Every time I see LB port I think the same thing. You have to get to wherever the few jobs are in this economic environment...

Are you a CWI? If so I may be able to point you in the right direction.

I can't gaurantee anything, but you might look up AGC Heat Transfer in Portland, OR. Our sales are picking back up and the shop is slammed. The foreman has talked about hiring another couple welders (sanitary stainless steel TIG work).
