Hey guys long time no see... I was bored out of my mind and figured I drop in here and drop a line to let you know what I've been up to lately. I'm still in the Army, currently doing some training in VA. It's not too bad here the weather is pretty nice and I'm about a stone's throw from the ocean.
For the first time in almost 6 years I don't have any DSM of any kind. Though that saddens me some, I'm happy to be down to having only 1 project. Here's a couple of pics. Took it to the G13 F-body gathering in Atlanta over the Memorial day weekend and took Runner up in it's class. The 88-92 Pro-Modified class.
For the Gear-heads in the forums it's an 88' RS with a 75' factory 2 bolt (now splayed 4bolt) 350 from a Vette, Bored .060" over. Balanced rotating assembly with TRW pistons, GMPP Pink rods, and an Eagle crank (stock stroke). AFR 195CC Street Eliminator heads, Custom Grind Solid roller cam specs: duration 236*/242* lift .602"/.609" 114 LSA. ARP fasteners throughout Weiand Stealth IM, and Holley Commander 950 fuel injection. Hooker supercomp long tubes custom y pipe and a magnafow cat back for a 98-02 f-body Tick performance built T56 from an LT1 f-body, Competition clutch LT4 clutch setup, PRO 5.0 shifter, Moser Engineering 4th gen F-body 12 bolt, Eaton Posi, 3.73's 33 spline axles LS1 F-body brakes at all 4 corners Too much to list on the suspension 2002 WS6 wheels for street driving S&W 8 point roll bar with swing outs and custom cross brace (NHRA legal to 10.000 in the 1/4)
Still have some body work and paint to attend to should be all wrapped up by next spring.

Oh and the federal government sent me a letter offering me 4500 for my Camaro for trade in, I just thought damn I have almost twice that in the motor.

so has the army allowed you to keep the obligatory mullet that goes with that car or do you have to shave it and just wear a mullet wig when you drive around?
j/p, looks like a fun project (what project isn't though )

Mullets are no longer a requirement for owning/driving a third gen as long as it's actually fast. LOL. It's always fun to see the look on a Cobra owner's face after sucking his doors off. The best part is them looking at their gauges like the car is broken.
