depends on what you're getting. Not 420a specific, but I've gotten plenty of parts from both summit and extremepsi. Everyone raves about the extreme customer service, so you could always give them a call and see if they can get you parts they don't have listed on their website. I'd rather wait a bit longer but have contact with the company and know what's going on with my order than be left in the dark on something that's supposedly in stock from places like CI.

From my time in aftermarket sales, most of your retail outfits will be buying from wholesalers like Motovicity or something. So, if the place you like carries JE pistons for the 4G63, chances are good that they can also get JE pistons for pretty much anything else. It's all about the almighty "line card." Retail shops sell parts. Wholesalers sell product lines.

Keep in mind...

1. Just because they could order 420A parts from their supplier doesn't mean they either have to or want to. Sure, it's easy to say "Well, if they want to make some more money, then they ought to be selling these parts!" Not so.

2. If it's not in their catalog, then someone has to call someone else, start up a game of phone tag, finally get their price, figure your price, get it added to their sales system, call you back, take the order, and then probably pay for it in advance as a special order. That's a good way to quickly turn the 10% margin you would have made on this order into a 5% loss once you figure in time lost with other customers. So now you understand why they're going to probably charge you a special/custom order fee.

Even so, when you get solid service from ANY vendor, you should make a point of telling others about your experience. Word gets around and the good guys should get the business.

Definitely.

Also Summit Racing for some aftermarket parts. There customer service is pretty sweet and depending on how close you are to one of their warehouses you may be able to get parts within 1-2 days and only pay normal shipping.

is another place I have heard good things about.

For OEM parts, http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/ works well for me.

http://www.federatedautoparts.com/

They are also known as ALLPARTS and also are a machine shop.

I saved 150 bucks, for my recent accident.

I recommend them over Advanceauto parts but I have luck with autozone prices /service.

I would most likely deal with federated from now on locally but I use the other sites already mentioned.
