#3954, "So, my knee is jacked!"

I got news from my doctor today that I am an official gimp, at least for a while. While at work I dropped into a 6' deep concrete vault, and when you multiply my mass by a constant velocity and carry the 2, you get a lot of screaming and pain on my part. The end result of all this is that I have 2 tears in my Meniscus and the MRI shows no traces of my posterior ACL (or whatever it's called). So long and short of it, I'm getting surgery soon, yay!
They tell me I'm going to be laid out for a month after the surgery, and I'm thinkin' "a month is a shit load of time to be stuck in the house playing GT4 and to a lesser extent NFSU, I better come up with something productive to do!" My girlfriend suggested that I read a couple books, then after we stopped laughing I decided I'd try to do something to raise some dough. But what? Well I've built an MS before, and I figure I could crank a couple of those out in a day, wonder if anyone would want to buy one.
Now I'm not thinking about doing the MR Slick thing where I don't built it till I've got the clients money, I'm talking about pre-maid, you order it, I ship it to you that day units. Anyone interested in something like that? I think I'll gauge some interest in the for sale forumns too.
Also, anyone else blow an ACL? How long were you down?

I have had 2 procdures on my left knee brother. Tears in the miniscuss and a torn ACL. What do they plan to do about the ligiment? Are they doing a cadavor donor or are they taking a piece of your petella tendon and using that?

Haven't really got that far, but it sounds like they're leaning towards cadeaver. If that's where they go it better be from a man, I don't want no womans ACL! That'd suck, I'd run like a some kind of Mary then.

Just kidding by the way, I don't care who they have to kill to fix my leg. Kinda funny though how they use dead people like we use dead cars!

I could use a V3.0 rig. As long as it doesn't cost me much emoji

Let me read up on the V3.0 first and make sure I can do it. My first inclination is that I can, but I don't want to promise if I can't. I'll PM you but I'll probably wanna try to make about $50 or so per board, so figure parts, $50, +shipping to you. Does that sound fair? Also, I'll test them with stims, but in case you have any problems with it, I'll guarantee full refund, cause it's just proper that way.

At this time I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to do wiring harness' too, gotta figure out how much wire costs, etc. But if I do, they'll be pigtails that you'll have to route and cut, no fancy stuff.

Well My recovery took 6-9 months before I could go back to football, So either they have come a long way or using the cadavor drasticly reduces healing time. Either way i have been there before and if you have any ?'s I'll be happy to answer them if I can. I wish you luck with the whole thing. You never realize how important something is until it fucks up... It's amazing how the body is just like a vehicle isn't it...lol Now your a whole new type of volture...lol

Doctors thought I tore my ACL during a soccer game last fall but it turned out I just had a horrible bone bruise for 2 months. Randomest injury ever.

Really emoji
I'm mainly bummed becuase we got a lot of shit to do at work and I don't want to leave my patner high and dry for a long time. I know the sooner I get it done the better though, and he already said just do it, but I still feel bad.
