#39186, "Question regarding digital cable"

So I have one digital DVR cable box setup in my living room...is there anyway to get the rest of channels into my other rooms? Actually, I am only looking to get the kids channels into my son's room, haha. Can I use a Tee or something?

Short answer, no
Long answer, yes.

If you use a coax tee, whatever is on in your living room will be what is seen in the bedroom. You won't be able to watch different channels in different rooms without seperate tuners.

it depends on how strong the signal is mike. all you can do is try it. Usually problems occur if you split it more than once, like 3 ways. I have mine split 3 ways, no problems.

If you have Dvr thru TimeWarner, Yes you can because they run cable from the outside pole to the house wired direct from the basement.

The Dvr box is connected from a cable running from the basement, this is normal when installing cable.

Mike don't splice cable from your DVR box it'll mess it up.

Splice from the basement and run the cable(wire) through the floor into your kids room.

Note: It will not work for either DISH or Direct Tv

It works only on cable like Comcast/timewarner..

This isn't stealing cable, since your paying for their service for your house.

..and there is the possibility of receiving a satellite signal without services but you can research that on your own.

on the same free to air note, xm/sirius works 120days after you cancel as long as the antenna is unplugged right before you make the call. cough cough.

If you split the cable pre-set-top box, e.g. run a drop to another room, it functions as basic cable. "Digital" cable is just a higher-frequency signal piggybackedon the bandwidth you're already getting from your provider.

Incoming signal to my house is split 9 ways emoji Some rooms have multiple coax jacks.
