Is anyone here on the board a Freemason? If you are, please speak up.

My great, great grandfather was 31st level Freemason. My grandmother has been into geneology since the 60s and has traced most of her side of the family as being a DAR. Most of her ancestors were on the Mayflower, which also backs up the Freemason story. Which also means, that I am a SAR.

I have found 2 lodges in my local area, one of which is District #5 in West Columbia, TX!

If they were so secret, why are there lodges with signs and logo? Why do they publicly state when and what times the meetings are? The doors are always open, except when a meeting is taking place.

A secret society that is nothing more than a society with secrets. Conspiracy theorist crackpots mix up a lot of devil worshipping, satanic ritual, voodoo mambo jambo along with globalization, etc.

My interest in it recently is my ancestors. That, and this country was founded by freemasons. We need to get this country back the way it was over 270 somthing years ago, damnit. These men founded our country somewhat wealthy and had the ideals and principles that we all strive for. Instead they died penniless and broke, with nothing but their names to show for. But, to this day, we all know about them and who they are. They are the greatest men that our country had.

They just had "open enrollment" not too long ago where anyone could go to a local lodge and check things out and join if interested.
