#38458, "Anyone know any good BMW forums?"

I just picked up my dad's E36 318i. I've been looking for info concerning the E36 M3 swap.

I know some of you own BMW's, My question is do you know of any decent BMW forums? Most of what I find seems to be filled with spoiled little rich kids that are only concerned about audio/video.

Have you looked at www.bimmerforums.com? I used to have links to a couple others, but can't find the email.

I always liked the looks of the E36 platform, mostly boxy but round in just the right places. Agressive without trying too hard. The 1.8 in the 318 was pretty peppy on the one I had a chance to drive too.

How many cars do you have now? emoji

+1 on Bimmerforums. My boss has an E30 convertible, I did a bunch of work to it when he first bought it, used Bimmerforums a TON emoji

Also, if you do a quick Google search you can find an FSM, thats how I got the one for the E30.

Also, last time I was curiously looking, it was WAY cheaper to sell the 318i and buy an M3. Ones around here with low miles and in great condition go for about 10-11k. Where a good condition E36 318 will go for 6-7k. Doesnt make sense does it emoji

Unless your Dad gave it to you, at which point swap away.
