Believe it or not, I happend to me and it might happend again. I work for one of the Fortune 500 retail chains. I'm still with the company but was transferred to another store. I was told the main reason was sales, and is why they cut hours down. But, Its alot of BS, because the place I'm at now their sales, was shitty before I got transferred here.
During winter is tough to get hired because businesses only accpeting apps. and not Hiring at this time. This what I've been told for the past two months. To a point its like a waste of my gas going for an interview and manager says this.
I agree with you both things do happend for reason, and it seems I'm getting push into joining the service. I work with a kid that just joined the Guard,told they pay etc.. This is my last resort and I doubt they pay good monthly,and having my ass belong to Uncle BUSH/Obama
Hopefully things will work out for all of us after first of the year 09'

Good luck finding something. I got really lucky and I was only out of work for 3 weeks. I got laid off on the first of the month and thanks to friends I managed to slip into my new job.
times suck and I don't think we've seen the worst.
