Over the road training pay
after CDL training there's 4-6 week road training with company driver to learn the ropes, and 300 a week til completion.

What if the economy continues to slow? Think about it. People buy less stuff, so companies make less stuff, meaning less trucks are needed to haul the less stuff to less people who will buy. Pay for training only to get in the door and get laid off with a fat lease on a truck you have no use for, imo.
Want to do something cool? Call the local news station and tell them you're going to drive across the country to interview grease monkeys like yourself and can they help you get funds to do so or something like that.

I have a friend that's an owner operator. He has made ridiculous money in the past. lately he has been alot slower and it can be an incredibly dull job.
