So a girl I haven't seen/talked to in about 6 years contacts me via facebook a while back, and I was pretty stoked about it because I had a thing for her back in the day. I end up seeing her at a bar; we start talking and I ask her out. Things are going really well and I'm honestly pretty stoked about it all....
Here's the catch and it's pretty much based on assumptions. One of her websites on facebook directs you to her photography site and I notice that her last name is different than it was back in high school, and what it is now. I was curious so I looked back on her status and I notice that there was a "married" status a few months back. I'm taking it that relationship ended a few months back, thus explaining why she recently moved back home.
My question is: should I bring this up at all? I'm really starting to like the girl, and I don't want to be a rebound or anything. I was thinking that since it is a strong assumption, I should let her bring it up and whatnot and then go from there?

Talk about it. No harm in that. If she's not ready to talk about how the last relationship ended, then she's obviously not ready to start another one, is she? No need to bring up concern about your being a rebound, as that would imply a lack of trust in her, which is a good way to shoot yourself in the foot, then set that foot on fire, then step in fresh dog shit on your way to the ER.
My philosophy: Unless you're just looking for a piece of random ass, you should think of your relationship as an investment. If it's to be your only investment, wouldn't it make sense that you go all in up front in order to get the greatest returns long term? Hold back up up front and you miss out, imo. You risk losing everything in a manner of speaking, for sure, but if you're not in it with that kind of confidence, it's not really fair to expect her to be either.
Someone comes to you 30 years ago and tells you about how this new Microsoft computer company is about as close to a sure thing as you can get. You've got $100 to your name. If you invested just $50 in it, what would that cost you today?

So that was easy. She actually approached me on the topic before we went out and explained everything. She was in a bad bad relationship so she ended it and couldn't be happier with her decision. Fucking awesome!
