First off, if you're stupid enough to be racing on the freeway, you deserve to lose your car. As targeting people with imports, modded ones leastwise, you kind of have to expect that in this day in age. There is a certain stigma associated with owning a sport compact. You should probably expect a little unjust persecution.

Yea I feel ya, still I was wondering what was they wanted to look for.
Kinda sad we import owners hafta be a scape goat for the states financial woes.
What would they say if we all sold our cars to others out of state and we bought the same thing as old folks like Buick's and Crown Vic's?

Heheheee the lost revenue would be mind boggling! emoji

Are you new to the planet?

Modded cars and freeway racers have been the target of police crackdowns since the beginning of vehicular travel.

If you're driving dangerously on the freeway I'm trying to commute on, you're MY target for crackdown too. Enjoy your trip into the median or curb.

I see bad drivers everyday but I would not become part of the problem by trying to run em off the road.

I see guys doing their thing in their sports cars (YEA ECLIPSE/HONDA/EVO/VETT OWNERS TOO!) sometimes alone sometimes racing and just smile cuz I do it we all do it besides the guys are just having fun and are not driving stupid like weaving or scaring the hell out of people or running people over and running off just having fun.

Some guys do the weave thing which spooks me a bit in fact one guy put it right into the wall right after weaving passed my rig a few nights ago in San Antonio backed away from the wall and drove off steam and all like nothing happened I laughed my ass off!!!

The way I see it I cannot judge anybody least I be judged and guess what we got too many judges (CHP, LAPD, SHERIFFS, UNDERCOVER,And just plain ol Hypocrites...ETC) in the world today (That do the same thing when no one's looking) and not enough people minding their own damn business.

And I agree with the last part what if the auto world was perfect the loss in revenue would be staggering! emoji

Now back on subject emoji Anybody got any solid info as to what came across the tube?

Laws will always get even more strict, especially when kids are getting into serious accidents and hurting others. Not like a drag strip is expensive.

Agreed but it's going farther than that. In fact the American Truckers Ass. is pushing for a national 65 limit cars and trucks and a speed limiter on automobile drivers who violate the law the car will be governed to a maximum 55 mph during probation time.

California goes in farther they want to put GPS trackers on all cars in the state that can track milage and speed for revenue and all future speed violators 1 mile 2 miles over the limit won't matter you will get a ticket in the mail and your insurance co will shoot ya rate up to boot.

Many big rigs have and will have camers on board many states have cameras and are installing more mostly to protect the corporation which there's nothing wrong with a trucking co. doing so but the state spying I got a problem with that!

Again I say there are many nosy people in the world and some work in Big Government....Welcome to the New World Order.

back on subject anybody got that info yet? If not I'll make a few calls/e-mails and let you guys know by the end of the week. Thanx!

Dude calm down.

They had a "I85 Corridor Crackdown" here that was on every news channel... I was never targeted for speeding. In fact I never even saw a bunch of police.

Chances are the local TV station needed something to do and wanted to ride along, then decided to hype it up with "OMG Import Crackdown!!1! ROFLCOPTER.cOM!1!".

Just chill the fuck out.

Once again, into the wall you would go.

I figured before too long they might use the new technology to automatically prevent your car from exceeding the speed limit wherever it goes (just like they have demonstrated they can already do with OnStar to shut the speed down and end a high-speed pursuit).

Sheriff-
Oh wait! If no one can speed anymore there goes our revenue stream!!! Forget that idea.
