Anyways, went to look at 554/1000 this afternoon after watching Texas whoop Oklahoma. Wow. The guy had told me on the phone that the car was "perfect" in every way. He sent me some low quality pictures that really made the car look nice but when I got there it was a different story. He told me over the phone that the engine/transmission was strong and the interior was in excellent shape. Told me that the only flaw on the body in any way shape or form was an unnoticeable ding in the hood and he felt dumb for telling me about it over the phone.
So I get there and notice that the car's exterior was nasty due to sitting but that's okay. The rims where beat up and banged up and the car was lit up with door dings. All 4 corners where scuffed up from backing into stuff and chips galore. The interior was rough and the driver seat tore up. Okay, I can get past that but then I take her for a test drive and no boost at all. Also I get informed that 3rd gear was tricky but it's because of the shift knob....sure.
I will give him that the motor ran smooth and quiet but he had to know the car wasn't making boost.
Oh well, now isn't the time to be spending cash on a toy anyways.

Ive had people do that to me. Said "Yeah its a GS turbo, runs and drives, come look at it."
I get there, for one its a Talon, ESI, with what looked like the remnants of a turbo kit on it. All I said to the guy was "Are you serious?" and left.
Where would this car happen to be and for how much I wonder?

lol.
I was 16 and wanted a camaro bad. I drove about an hour to look at a 86 camaro Berlinetta (this was in 93). Ad says the car is mint.
I get there and some fat lazy salesman just tells me the car is in the autoshop and to just walk in there and look at it. Real professional right? Car has portion of the dash tore apart and the car looks like shit. Far from mint. Oh well, thats why you never buy sight unseen right?
