#36164, "Dead voters on election records in Houston"

The texas watchdog has caught onto something that's been going on in the houston area, possibly many many more areas of the country: http://www.click2houston.com/news/17671375/detail.html

http://www.texaswatchdog.org/2008/10/dead-voters-still-registered-in-harris-county/

Open your eyes, America. What is coming is going to happen, regardless.

What are you going to do about it?

Get mad as hell. You say, I am an American damnit, and I have RIGHTS!

Yeah, but this happens EVERY election. Just look at the group out of Nevada that registered the roster of the Dallas Cowboys to vote in NV.

I Agree, people who watch extremely biased television programs to make their decisions and dont research on their own are morons in their own part. make an actual choice based on facts and repetitious verified government records. Do some research, Look past your parents party recommendations and get to the source of the candidate. What they proclaim to be able to offer and what they will based on there creditability are 2 different things. Anyone can legally say what you want to hear during their campaign.

p.s. where the heck did the fundamentals go?. Social security, welfare, food stamps, cash and utility assistance? can somebody please admit they screwed up! We are better off w/o them now.

Voting for a candidate that you don't agree with (read: i hate both candidates) is a problem as well.

Either way, its throwing away your vote.

And dont get me started on the socialist thing with the dems, John McCain has serious socialist issues as well.

I couldn’t agree with you more. What a waste of typing for you guys that’s talking politics/economy and aren’t expressing your votes. This election is interesting, something new happens everyday; I could watch CNN all day on this shit (well to an extent). Each candidate has something different to bring to the table, pick your route. Sure the candidates are going to have some things you may disagree on, but could you do any better with the position there being put in?? The thing that’s more important in the election then anything is making sure EVERY vote gets counted right this time!!!

Lol at the dead people being registered. How in the hell are they going to show up when it comes time to vote??

Hmmm... emoji

There are more than two candidates on the ballot, despite what the media wants you to think.
I have my ballot and there's 6 Presidential candidates on it.

Research them.

Exactly what I was going to say. There are so many political parties out there and surely there is one that fits your needs. A lot of people will say voting third party is wasting a vote. In reality, it matters just as much as your insignificant vote for the big two.
That said, vote Libertarian. Democrats are in favor of strong civil liberties and no economic liberties, Republicans are in favor of strong economic liberties and no civil liberties. Where's the consistency in either of those two parties?

No, vote however you want.

Just don't be misled by people with a lot of money to gain, that there is a two-party system in this country or that the two from the big parties are the best options. They're not. Educate yourself. You have access to more information than anyone else in history. Use that gift.

quoted for greatness

But, be careful where and how you obtain that information. Just make sure it's as credible as possible coming from the source of information.

Kent, saying "I didn't vote for that loser" sort of implies that you did your part and voted. :boo

Like Dawg said, there's SIX people on the ballot for president this year. If you don't want to vote for either McCain or Obama, voting for ANYONE ELSE is NOT A WASTED VOTE. If less than 60% of the VEP voted four years ago, but more than 70% votes this year, EVEN IF THAT ADDITIONAL 10% VOTED FOR OTHER PARTIES THAT DON'T WIN, it sends a CLEAR message that WE, THE PEOPLE, aren't all the blind, mindless sheep the media and corporate America think we are. It would send the message that people are starting to wake up and express that they're sick of this democack/republicunt BULLSHIT and it would encourage people to run and pay more attention to the other parties.

To be ELIGIBLE to vote and not vote is to waste a vote. Voting for someone who has a snowball's chance in hell of winning isn't a waste. There are people who will, in a couple weeks, walk right into that booth and vote for the COMMUNIST candidate. You know what? Those people are better citizens than anyone with some bullshit excuse for not voting.
