Who's done it?

Does ebay charge a fee for your listing? How much? I've never sold on there, just bought.

you are charged for the listing and charged a percentage if it sells.

You get raped multiple times doing it IMO you're most likely better off advertising on autotrader or the likes. Hell even craigslist. I'm lazy I wouldn't want to be bothered with asshats from across the country asking questions when they're not serious. Even if they were serious I'd rather deal in person for something that big because of all the scams

I've been messing with craigslist.

I list EVERYTHING i possibly can about the car and then assholes are going to ask if it will pass inspection and then ask questions that were already answered in my listing...... Half of them seem serious but are balls stupid, the other half lowball the shit out of me. I told one guy he could have the shell for $1000. He's like "what's that?"

"I take the engine, trans and all my aftermarket parts off the car and you can have what's left. I've got 4 15" wheels with bald tires that are included so you can roll it onto a trailer."

The're like, "is anything else wrong with it?" Wrong with it? It's a project car?

"The a/c and power steering have been removed"

"really, why?"

"This isn't the car for you. Have a nice day."

My tag will be up on the 9th. I was trying to get rid of it before then but who needs a car anyway? I live 3 miles from work. Lol.

I just sold my AWD Talon on ebay and it worked out nicely for my first time ever doing that. It cost me $98 total. I took the $500 deposit by Paypal but after that I instisted on a Cashier Check to avoid paying the PP percentage for the balance. My buyer flew out from PA to Phoenix and drove the car home himself.

I much prefer Craig's List but sometimes you can't find local buyers.

Ebay recently changed their fees on auto sales so it is always a fixed fee that you know in advance. I would hit ebay for the latest info as it is now cheaper to list one that maybe doesn't sell.

The fee is charged to you before the buyer sends you payment.

If the buyer takes too long, or decides not to pay like they almost always do, you're screwed. You're stuck clicking choices on a "customer support" website, and waiting 36 hours for a canned response that doesn't even match your questions.

Also, when you don't send in your fees since the transaction was broken by the buyer, they suspend your account and bumble your payment for months on end if you don't sign up for their "we can charge your credit card anytime for any amount" plan.

eBay is for collectables and toys, not serious internets.

In summary: fantastic idea, a++++++++++
