I was in AZ in January, I posted but i am not sure where you were.

I have jumped from 20k feet, its really nothing special and the air is so thin that your down at 10k almost immediately. Unless you hold a B license you cannot legally jump higher than 15k feet due to the use of oxygen in the plane. I am sure there are places that might violate such laws but if they are caught, the FAA will automatically revoke their skydiving licence.

A friend and I are workign on our C license so we can make beach jumps and there are a few places in the US that make 30,000 jumps.

I am looking for my cd of all the AZ pictures, when i find it i will post a few.

Dave the funny part is, that was done in '64 IIRC. He reached a top speed of like 413MPH, or something in that range. The parachute was a stage 4 chute design the auto deployed to avoid killing him. That was one of the larges moves to start the pubic looking into parachuting. It was actually over 102k feet.


As for the other question....how much did it cost me? My rig (parachute in its complete form on my back) is worth more than you car! The initial training program (A-License) is worth 1/2 of what a near mint 2gnt costs now. Where I am to date with all gear and training.....14,000.

First jump was May 10th 2007!

165 jumps to date. need 200 by DEC 1st for my C license.
