heh, why bother? Last time I got a ticket for no front plate I just had to put the plate back on head down the the sheriff's station get it signed off, pay my $10 and it was done. I haven't rocked the front plate since I've had my eclipse and have only been ticketed for it once in the past 7yrs.

I always have my plate in my window. I got pulled over twice in 5 minutes for it, but that was in the LAX airport, and they were on terrorist alert.

The other 3 years I've gone with it in the windshield were no problem.

Cops will always cite you for it at the same time if they pull you over for something else, but like everyone said, it's just 5 mins and $10 at your local CHP office to get it cleared.

I leave mine on. No sense in them also wondering what my gauges are for, and making me pop my hood.

You can only get away with it for so long. Even here in VA I drove around for years without, then I got stopped one day and ticketed. Then within the same week, pulled again. Tags in the windshield is a no-no too.

Got pulled for exhaust couple weeks ago, and the first thing the cop does is look for a front tag, then "license and registration please".

Take it off for the meet.

I leave mine off. The only place I ever get ticketed for it is in LA. I'll have my car parked on a city street, and find it the next morning with a ticket. happened to me twice within a week long period - the other time it was a cop on foot and I was in traffic at venice beach. bastards. go chase the rastafarians smoking the weed at the pier you choads

and yea, it's just a $10 fix it ticket. I don't trust all those traffic signal cameras anyway, so it's my insurance if "unusual" circumstances lead to one of them taking a pic of me. (of course, many setups also take pics of the back of your car though...)

I havent had a front plate on my venge since i've been in socal and havent gotten any tickets.

But i have MO plates so i figure most cops here jus think that you only need 1 in MO.

true dat. Do not drive to LAX w/o the front plate.

I was picking someone up at the terminal, and there was a ticket waiting on my windshield when I got back to the car. Got pulled over by a bike cop just as we were leaving the airport.

yea leave it on, having it off is just a reason for a popo to pull you over and then its pop the hood and then its ref time.

it sucks

i call it preventative maintenance.

and having it in the windshield isnt legal
