#34994, "8/04/2008 Anne Frank Day"

This day in 1944, Anne Frank was captured by the Nazis.

I had to read her diary in middle/high scool. Probably because we lived an hour from the Holocaust Museuem in DC. Ive been there several times.

lol, that's an amazing pic.

I don't know what the requirements are for middle shcool here in IN, but when I was in middle school, my family was stationed at Langley Air Force Base. So I went to school in Yorktown, about 3-4 hours south of DC. It's definitely a requirement there, I think it's a state requirement actually, cause all the english classes there have to adhere to the SOL's.

That's something that always made me laugh about VA, their name for the standardized test that you have to pass to graduate (the standards of learning test) is officially referred to as the SOL test.
Some of our teachers would even say that if we didn't study enough to pass the SOL (which is a joke of a test that any moron that signed signed his name could pass), we'd be SOL for the rest of our lives. As many times as I asked them what they ment by the second SOL, they wouldn't tell us though, they'd just smile and go "you know what I mean." and I did, but I wanted to hear them say it.

They do have a pretty good school system there, but what I remember most out of going to school there is the phrase "Shit Outta Luck"

-- Back on topic now, I remember it being an interesting story. Didn't they use perfume in a handkerchief to screw up the germans' dogs' noses when they escaped. I just remember reading a section where they have to talk their way past some nazis and they have dogs, so they do someting to screw up the dogs' noses in case they come looking for them later. Pretty sly really.

... sorry man, it was early and i've been sick for three days.

I think what I was trying to say is that I've read the book too and it was interesting.

morning all. this weekend was way too short, I need it to be about 3 times as long.

meh.

Dino, I'm not sure if I should laugh or be offended by that pic.

hmmm, being offended requires too much effort.

**Edit: to whomever changed my avatar over the weekend, ha ha.
