What a moron.
Part. It. Out.
Figure how much you've invested. That's your starting figure. Reduce that figure by 40%, that's your depreciation. Now take the amounts you've spent on body kit and sound/video, double it, then subtract that figure from the post-depreciation figure.
There's your starting price.
An example? Sure. Why not!
Say you take a $5000 95 RS and dump $15,000 into it. Depreciate it by 40% ($8000), then double the amounts you spent on gay body kits and retarded electronics that do nothing for performance. In this case, let's say there's $4000 between those two categories ($8,000).
So the $20,000 spent on the 95 RS and "modding" it, comes out to be worth? That's right. $4000.
Cliff's Notes: The more you spend on body mods, amps, subs, monitors, video games, and bullshit for you car, the less it's really worth. You think a car depreciates fast, when was the last time even YOU went shopping for used electronics?
Like I said, stupid. Want to get the most out of your car? Keep it half as clean as azdave's.
