Student loans man. You don't have to start paying them back until after you graduate, and they give you 10 years to do it.

already owe a little over $10,000 on loans. I'm done with that.

I work full time and go to night classes, so I can afford it... plus, I'll get reimbursed at the end, so I really can't complain. But it still sucks that I'll be out $4,000 for a little while. I've been wanting to get a new car, but I guess I'll have to put that on hold for a bit.

Take advantage of your schooling and you wont be bitching when your done school. But if you finish school and you get a shitty job because you dicked around yea... you'll be pissed about the waste of money. You could always join the military .. lol.. free colege tuition and free schooling and enjoy an opertunity many people never get to do in their lives.

p.s... I have $32k for college when I get out, not to mention I already went and still going through much schooling in electronics working as an aviation electronics technician emoji ... What job in the civilian world wouldnt trust me after working on multi billion dollar aircraft at the age of 19 for the government. Also whats your major?

Well I'm working for the electric company right now, so I have a pretty good job. Plus once I'm done, I'm almost guaranteed an office job of some kind with them. And like I said, they pay for my school based on grades...
90% for an A
80% for a B
70% for a C
So I really can't complain. I'm going to major in something related to business. I dunno, i figure theres a lot i would be able to do with it.

I'll be having to pay back quite a bit when I'm done. I'm at around $12k for this year alone.

Wow, you guys have it easy. I pay over $36,000 a year, but it's well worth it. When I'm done here I should get grad school paid for, hopefully.

Furthermore, we did research in my class once about the average return on investment comparing going to college and what a yield in the market could be. I forget the exact numbers but a decent investor could make more just putting the money in stocks. Of course there is risk, and you don't get the "college experience", but with how difficult some career paths can be now, I'm beginning to like my chances with my money in other places.

Dice I agree with you. For some not going to college is the best option. I just didn't see any desirable career paths for my personaly.

ha ha. try $150,000 for schooling after college. at least I came out of college with no debt though. but that's why I get to make the big bucks (not!).

It doesn't really matter anyway, when you figure the average american spends something like $300,000 on automobiles over their lifetime, and it takes like $280,000 to raise a child to age 17. screw that! I'm just not going to have kids.
