#33146, "Boston"

I'm leaving for Boston tomorrow and need some tips on what to see/do/places to eat. Has anyone been there?

I'm only going for 4 days for a convention. OC Choppers is supposed to be there unveiling a new "penguin" bike for Dryvit. Should be fun.

I live there periodically... Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall (Government Center on the Blue/Green Lines on the T) has a lot of good places to eat and shop. If you're into it, there are many museums and educational type things in and around Harvard (Harvard Square on the Red Line). Though it's not really an attraction, MIT usually has pretty cool things going on (Kendall on the Red Line). Oh, and there's always the Museum of Science (Science Park on the Green Line) and the MFA (Ruggles on the Orange Line). MoS had Bodyworlds a little while back... that was pretty cool. Also, a Blue Man Group is based in Boston at the Charles Playhouse (somewhere around Boylston on the Green Line). If you just get bored, you can start walking around downtown by the Commons (Park Street on the Red Line, Boylston on the Green Line): there's a Loews movie theater, a bunch of shops/restaurants, and it's reasonably close to Chinatown.

If you haven't figured it out yet, take the T everywhere. It's cheap ($1.70 if you use their free Charlie Card per trip, even cheaper if you get a multi-day pass), relatively clean (don't mind the occasional drunken college student or crazy hobo), and pretty much on time.

I finally made it back from Boston after the flight crew fixed the jet in Chicago.

I saw:

Fenway Park, Quincy Market, Sam Adams Brewery, Isabelle Gardner Museum, sunset cruise in Boston Harbor, "Old Ironsides" the USS Constitution, Epicenter LEED Platinum Building, Beacon Hill, Newbury Street shopping, North Church where Paul Revere signaled that the British were coming, Harvard, saw Paul Jr and Sr from Orange County Choppers, Boston Architectural College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and went to a Host Chapter Party at the Boston Public Library (open bar, amazing food, fancy stuff)

Not bad for only being there 3 days. I had a 7-day T pass so I made use of it.
