I just wanted to throw out an idea to the regulars around here. On some of the other forums that I've been a part of we've had a daily thread that is pretty much about nothing. the only rules would be decency and using proper english, no rules on staying on topic or posting stupid pics/videos/links. It kind of acts like a big chat room (I know we already have chat) but not everyone can use the chat feature, especially at work.

The basic format is setup as a daily "holiday." Whoever creates the thread for the day could choose a real holiday or make up whatever one they like and make a quick explanation of the holiday to get things started. Posts can be about the holiday or completely off subject, thus the reason for it being the daily hijack.

I feel that this has really created a stronger community with some of the other clubs/forums that I've been a part of and I wanted to put it before you guys to see what you thought about it

back on subject, other small rules are that the hijack for the day ends at midnight and a new one is to be started the next day. creating the hijack is frowned upon if you have not gone to sleep for the night and are creating it shortly after midnight.

the hijack does not end on friday night but continues through the weekend (if anyone cares) to end at midnight sunday night/monday morning.

all in all, play nice (but not too nice ) follow the rules that we all agreed to when we joined 2GNT and anything else goes!
