So.. how many of you have been stranded on the side of the road while tuning?

Tonight I get to pull the trans to see what is up w/ the south bend clutch. Something blew after a nice pull in 4th at 22psi. It doesnt go into gear now when the car is running. No fluids leaking on ground. Master/slave cylinder look fine.

I had to sit in the car for 2 hours waiting for a trailer.

Fuel pump locked up once on my cougar while I was out testing the new valve body in the trans, but this was after it became a track-only car.

Luckily, my brother was driving in from Houston with his car and just so happened to be almost there then. He pulled up, unloaded his car, we pushed my car in the trailer, and I drove his car back to the house.

Samething happened to me about a 3 weeks ago. It was the middle of the clutch where the Input shaft goes. It just exploded, I spoke to Andy and they fixed it for free. Just had to pay to ship it there.

Blew my headgasket while doing some pulls with the new fuel pump in. Luckily I was about 1-2 min from my house and limped it there before the needle began to go up on the temp gauge.

My timing belt shredded because of a bolt I forgot to tighten on the rear timing cover when I was about an hour from home emoji It was the official test of the car after my first head pull and was the reason for my second emoji

Headgasket failed on me in the Gaylant. July. 1645hrs. Inside lane. Narrowing stretch of the I-10 headed out of town. The Friday before MOD.

I drove the engine into the ground getting across three lanes to the shoulder and then let it die when the tach, despite my floorboarding it in first gear, dropped to 1500rpm.

Walked down into the spacious island deal there where the rain run off goes (when it does rain), and started making phone calls. The biggest bummer was that I only had one smoke left. Never mind that I was leaving for MOD in the morning and starting a new job the following Monday.

Haha. I even titled this section of my gallery "Spectacular Head Gasket Destruction and Stranding Action."
