So while my car has been down all week because my transmission took a dump, my girlfriend and I have been fighting.

Aparently, i care about the car more than she does and she hates the eclipse.

It's going to come down to her telling me: "it's me or the car"

God forbid your retarded friend doesn't help you put your transmission in the the correct order and loses parts so it takes 3 days to finish. Now it's the start of day 4. I had to work by myself yesterday because he dipped out as soon as i gave him a turbocharger. It's not like he can put it on right now or even tune without me. He's going to fuck his shit up listening to these dumb ricers around here thinking his sohc, bottom of the line ef civic sedan with no interior, 2 injectors and a fart pipe is the shit. My girlfriend knows i've raced on "closed roads" when noone was looking for money and she thinks all me and chris do is talk to girls, get in trouble and race cars. We drove 2 hours to pick up that transmission a few weeks ago. My girl brought that up today like she was pissed about it. Personally i'm sick of his girlfriend comming by every time we work on my car like we're cheating on our girlfriends at the strip club or something stupid like that. It's a car, ladies. Get the fuck over it and go get your nails done or something. When it comes down to it, cars > most pieces of ass. The guy i bought the trans from had about 4 1g turbo dsms at his house. His daily was bad as fuck so we talked about that and how he had it set up and then we drew our attention to his silver 1g gsx. I would have gladly loved to take it for a spin (and it would spin, like a top) but he didn't have a turbo installed on it (which is why he was eager to sell the transmission).

Do you guys talk to the people you buy parts from directly for whatever reason or are you a shady asshole that just drops off money and leaves? After a two hour drive? After getting lost and asking directions from gas stations and everyone at the gas stations can't speak a word of english. You have to choose from arabic or spanish. Unfortunately, i dont speak either.

If your car breaks it can be fixed with tools, blood and sweat. Not with feelings, fake sincerity and a load of bullshit. Further more these tools and exertion are real. I can't start the fucking car if it tells me "nothings wrong" or fix a fictitious problem with tools that don't exist.

FWIW, I've got a wife that's actually really good about cars. She got a little funny at one point (kinda insinuating that the girls are looking to pick me up etc. Ironic, cause there aren't really any girls around when I'm talking cars - on top of that, I'm a pretty ugly guy). So I fixed her. Brought her along on a couple of parts pick up and sales; also a "come over an give me a hand with putting this part on" trip. She got to stand in the corner bored as hell while I talked cars for hours.

I came back to eat, ate, and waited for her to do her thing because she said she wanted to hang out with me while i was running wire and doing whatever on the Eclipse. She sees me waiting and tells me I can go ahead and go and she'll walk over there in a bit. Well, all the wiring I;m doing is under the dash, so I have the driver's seat out and am laying in the floorboard, feet on the back seat, head on the brake pedal, tools laying on my chest. She finally comes over to the garage, I ask her to hand me some stuff, and within five minutes she says, "This isn't the kind of hanging out I expected. I'm going to go back to the apartment and watch TV."

Im lucky My GF of 4 years now loves my 2 eclipses. Hell she did the $15 camber mod on my RS. She got me ss brake lines for v-day and a fmic for x-mas and loaned me the money to pick up my tein flexs from craigslist. Points out hot chicks to me. And yes even said a 3 some would be ok if she picked out the chick. All this is true, I love this woman. She is a keeper.

She works on the same army base (im a contractor) as I do. She gets asked out 2 to 3 times a day, Not kidding army guys dont let up. She tells them. My BF works here go ask him if its ok if we go out. If he says yes then cool. No one has asked me yet.

I was working on my GST yesterday setting up the teins, getting the stance right. She tells me I see why you like these cars so much. They have great lines If you didnt have two of them I would drive one.

For real. It doesn't exist. It's like area 51. However, i'm not lifting a finger to fix her jetta. She can spend the money to have somebody else fix it since she refuses to do anything more than take it to an automatic car wash and put gas in it.

Dave(foggy), my gf is a nympho. We've had sex a total of 3 times in the last month and a half. We used to do it everyday, sometimes twice a day. You can't act like you're richy-rich working fast food. I should be getting mad props since i support myself, my dsm, my two brothers, my mom and her. My name is on every check that leaves this house towards bills and major expenses. Whatever.

If anything, i should be pissed when she talks about cars. My asshole puckers up when i have to ride shotgun with her because honestly, i'm afraid i'm going to die. She looks straight ahead when she drives. Mirrors aren't there unless she's looking at herself in them. She'll rumage through cd's and shit and wont look up at the road for what seems like forever. Making her drive on any highway or interstate, especially in traffic isn't a smart thing. She'd rather drive her car to the destination she picked for us AND then bitch at me because i didn't drive. I put up with it because i'd rather be dead than walk. I'm not allowed to wear my ipod in the car since she figured out it's to tune her out. I just sit nice and keep my butthole tight.

Well, i think it's mainly just the car. When there is a job that has to be done i work til it's finished. I guess she feels a tad neglected when i'm under the car wrenching all day. We get along great for the most part. I love her to death, it just seems like the car is causing some unwanted tension between us.

The funny thing is, most chicks dig the car, even she did at one point. They just dont know how obsessed and determined i am to see it finished. I'm the same with all my hobbies. 110%. They keep me busy and 9 times out of 10 they keep me out of trouble. Her brother used to be mad into cars and when f&f came out, he had a riced out accord. I mean, that shit was bad back in the day. They used to go to nopi and hin and she said she always had fun. She also said she had a few bolt-ons in her red civic. I guess she doesn't like it as much anymore because she physically can't get into it and do it herself. Nobody ever showed her how. She wouldn't mind going to the track to drive around nor would she mind learning how to turn a wrench. She just feels kinda left out. Something to the effect of guys making cars a guys only thing.... It's not even like that. Any women that can build a car or even put on a few bolt-ons isn't taking away from any man doing the same thing.

She's totally worth putting up with all the bs. It's just a pain at times trying to pick the female brain while trying to open up the window to mine at the same time.

Well there is an easy fix for that have her help. Like I said my chick did my rear camber on my RS. I showed her how to change her brake pads and bleed the system on her jeep. What I do is tell her honey im working on the car sunday do you want to help or do have plans. That way she cant say But but...... Also dont spend every waking moment on the car. You do have to take her out every once in awhile.

Looks like some of you guys got good ones and others got bitches, and occasionally a few in between.

I would have to say I'm very lucky. my wife practically grew up in a gas station (she thiks the smell of oil and fuel is sexy! ) because her grandfather owned one and her father ran the service station in it during her younger years. she loves cars and everything about cars. she also grew up around car shows and the racetrack because her family has several vintage jaguars that they show and her dad is the current board president of Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing. she loves to be around when I'm working on the car and often times when I'm doing engine work she'll hop inside the car and clean and vacuum the interior. we can talk about cars for hours at a time (unless I get too technical, she gets a little confused) and if we could afford to buy the pieces she would follow me to the ends of the earth to help me get them and install them on the car
