Was looking through a tuner mag today and came across a concept 2006 eclipse. they basically took the evo back bone and converted everything into the eclipse. it claimed it was 400 hp 4wd and it didnt look to shabby either with the cf hood and fmic. just thought id share that

98 RS: Mods: Custom Stage 2 Turbo kit , 55mm throttle body, gutted cat, evo cat back exhaust, p/p intake manifold,p/p Head, af-x underdrive pulley, B&M short throw shifter,Built bottom end Je pistons eagle rods 8.8:1 compression.





Status:Up and running again! nice new paint

Custom stage 2 hahn turbo kit
Hahn Super 16g turbo (ceramic coated)
Hahn manifold (ceramic coated)
Hahn Downpipe assembly
Hahn intercooler piping smic
Hahn oil line kit
Type s bov
2G Gsx smic
walbro 255 fuel pump
Synapse missing link
Vortech s-fmu
NGK Bkr7e11 Plugs
A-pillar w/boost, a/f, oil pressure gauges

Old Car:
1998 GS with hrc stage 2, HID 6000k conversion kit, AEM UEGO wideband, sfmu, ml, prokits, Greddy warning gauges: egt, boost gauge, and oil pressure, apexi tt, haydans tranny cooler, costum dp, groundwires, dynotune fp gauge. gst muff, turbo spoiler
Boostin since Aug 03.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

Thats it im pissed the auto show here in orlando didnt have one. 3 months ago geez i really need to get out more, i dont even visit any other dsm sites beside 2gnt.

check our rre's web site they got to play with it at a track and took a bunch of pics, also ya thats older than my mom, and what really blew me away was the rims(maybe not the ones in that pic, but at one point it was sporting carbon fiber rims.

Sorry guys, but if that car was produced and looked as good as it does in those pictures, I would be all over it. Let's hope Mitsubishi pulls through.

The only odd thing is that the EvoX is dropping the 4G63. That makes it relatively more expensive to keep the engine around for any AWD turbo Eclipse when a new engine (flipped around so the turbo faces the firewall) is powering the new Evo.
