I'm putting together a new PC. I have a legit copy of both XP Pro and Vista Ultimate.

Should I make the jump to Vista? XP may have issues with new hardware being pre-service packs?

It will mainly be for gaming, and some wireless multimedia sharing on my network. Both OS's are capable of that.

If it's predominately for gaming, it just depends if you want to use DX9 or DX10. After reviewing the benchmarks of Vista's first SP, I would still choose XP.

hell even microsoft pushed back the required isuing of Vista as the sole OS for OEM manufactures till July.

as above said, if you want DX10 though you have to have Vista ( /sigh)
