Heya.

I used to be on here as gadkins74. I've since given up that username (long, pointless story) and am going on about my life.

For anyone (read: no one) who remembers, I'm currently driving a 96 Cavalier.

Yes, it pains me.

As luck would have it, my girlfriend is wanting to get an eclipse and, well, I still want back into the DSM family. So, I figure my first post here is to ask around about how much I should reasonably expect to pay for a moderately used 2gnt. I've been pricing and it seems to hover in about the 5 to 6 grand range and about 120k-ish on the clock. If I recall correctly, this isn't too bad. However, I'd like some more seasoned opinions since it's been a while since I've shopped this stuff.

Thanks, as always, for any info. I'm happy to be back and can't wait to go back to wiling away the hours on here.

I haven't own a DSM in 2 years and I'm still part of the family. Don't worry about not having a DSM, tt just means you and I are more closely related now.

Exceptional point. Granted, I'd rather own a DSM for obvious reasons, but your point is something I had -sadly- forgotten about.. that 2GNT is family first, cars second. It's why I miss this place.

Ask 5 for it 6k is too much unless its a Gst/Gsx. How long did the car sat which you might wanna ask the seller.
I paid 5500 for mine with 102k He wanted 5900 for it but I talked him down because it sat for in a Garage for years, since 97' and I bought in 06'. The Timing/H20 pump would go anytime thats why

Well, we were honestly looking at lots, but that is still a question I'll ask. Most of what I've been seeing have been all over the map as far as trim levels go. I did find a gs w/ body mods (lambo doors and some other stuff) for like 2 grand. As says it runs ok, something tells me there are other problems. Any chance someone from here is getting rid of one in the Portland area?

Check the "Price, and Milage" thread around here some where, it'll give you some good ideas. I payed $2,700 for mine with 150k miles, has since been completely rebuilt (111mi on the new motor) and a 2gb conv with paint job. At this point I prolly spent 10k on it since 2004, but hell if im on the happiest I've ever been with it emoji

Holy shit. Greg lives. I'm gonna go ahead and assume the old Oklahoma number is no good. emoji

As much as I love the 2Gs, there's no DSM that compares to a GVR4. All of the following are within a day's drive of you, run under $6000 and give you turbocharged, all wheel drive. BONUS: The Galant is a sleeper. Nobody ever sees it coming. They only see it going.

Glad to see you're back with us, Greg. emoji

^^^ He's moving to Portland in a couple weeks and might even include DSMlink to seal the deal.
