Oct-30-07 08:15 AM by shuwa29

well as a lot of you know, i'm home from sandbox and enjoying life. since the weather is still pretty nice down here in san antonio, i decided i could no longer go without another motorcycle. so after searching around for another 600rr, i finally found the one for me.

2005 honda cbr 600rr with only 1744 miles on her!!! still stock for now but parts have already been ordered emoji

and the gear:

so yeah, just sharing my new joy in life! and once i get the exhaust and hid kit and the rest of the parts on, new pics will be up.

take care guys.

welcome home senior airman. Forget the powerups. I just got my forks revalved and upgraded. WORLD of a difference. Double ajustable Penske shocks are going in this winter along with steele braided lines and new pads. Power commander, velocity stacks, ignition advancer and slide stops are the last things to do. Gotta ride the bike to its full potential before you wanna start adding more hp. The adrenaline rush, when your knee touches the pavement is just something else.

i stuck with the yoshi rs-5 again. i like the way they redid the tip compared to the 03-04's. it's also the carbon fiber slip on. i love hitting the road courses but i'm not that hardcore to where i need a full setup with a power commander. but once i saw the cf pipe on a silver one, i was stuck emoji pics next week when it comes in with the install!

sweet! yea theres no point of a PC with just a slip on. mainly for looks and sound anyways. deff post pics up when ya get the chance.

edit: best bang for buck is a sprocket change. really wakes up the bike. on my f4i i went -1,+2 and i was able to accelerate with stock 1000s.

did the same thing. did the 520 conversion on the chain and went -1/+1 and couldn't believe the difference. granted i lost about 10-15 mph on top speed but that's not something i was trying to reach. i might switch it up again though. i believe it cost me less than 200 bucks last time for the front/rear sprockets and chain. did x ring. so red and black bike with gold chain was tits!!!

as promised, new pics with the current mods on;

hotbodies flush mount signals on the front and double hard barends (grips are from the previous owner and getting tossed):

clear alternatives taillight integrator, relocated plate and yoshimura rs-5 carbon fiber pipe:

next on the list is stainless steal lines, double bubble screen (probably puig) and HID's (6000K). more to come emoji

what sprocket is that? yea i had the did xring 520 as well. i had stealth sprockets which have steel teeth and aluminum center for strength and lighter weight. my f4i was yellow/black and the gold chain and gold sprockets really looked good. ill be going with the same setup on my 750 pretty soon.

p.s. bike looks clean man! loven it

edit: take a look at those zero gravity double bubbles. i had a puig but wasnt too satisfied with fitment on my f4i, so i went with zero gravity and everything aligned perfectly.

it was a vortex sprocket. not the greatest but at the time i wasn't able to save up for the nicer/more expensive stuff. i had the puig on the 03 but if i can find zero gravity for the same price or cheaper, i'll probably hit that up. i just had to pay for rent so that put a damper on my spending at the moment. damn women is also being a pain in my account as well emoji anybody want a slightly used 25 year old at a good price? kidding, she's going to kill me now emoji

I used to ride with the guys from sanantonioriders.net, but some of those guys are idiots. The people on satxriders.com are much more mature and do some nice hill country rides.

I'm on-call the week of thanksgiving and t-giving day til 6pm, so no riding for me emoji Then heading to Houston on Friday.

I'm off the Monday after thanksgiving, though, if either of y'all are around. There are some nice routes out northwest of town.

PS,

I don't ride fast on the street, I just enjoy the ride and save the speed for the track.

yea the TSBA is with the AMA so we abide by a set of rules when we ride. no excessive speed, always wear proper gear ect. its the safest riding you can do with a group. we are all about riding the curves, track days ect.
