Math 100 B Family Law A Group Decision Making A Commmercial Law A Human Rights and Liberties A
Human Rights is an ass kicker. No exams, just papers and class discussion. When I say papers, I mean critical thinking papers. The 25 page paper APA style at the end of the semester will account for 50% of the final grade. I hate math. For all you steroetyping motherlovers, not all Asian are good at math. I'm walking proof. As it stand right now, I'm 5 credits away from being a senior. You need 120 to graduate, 90 to be a senior and I by the end of this semester, I'll have 100. So I have a little over 2 semesters left if I don't take a couple intersession classes. I'm taking the LSATs next semester. I can almost taste law school right now.

You'll be fine fellas. But in education "He who does not fear is a fool", you can NEVER be too prepared. Work hard, and persevere. Then again, I've been in school for most of my life, so I know nothing else.

And then, once you've figured out some kind of percentage of that chance, you have to figure out how certain you are that your answer is correct. And then you have to figure out how certain you are that you're certain. And then you have to kick your own ass for wasting so much of your irreplaceable time on such asinine fucking bullshit.

Good job V. I've got similar grades except for my science class. I'm a poly sci major too, and will be going to law school....eventually. Why does an attorney need to know how atoms are structured and balancing scientific equations. It's not all that hard just not at all relevant.
Let me know how hard those Lsat's are. I've only got a few ps classes under my belt, so I have no idea what's going to be on that test.

The LSAT is designed to test your critical thinking ability. There is two sections of arguments (paragraph or two and then a question based on the ideology), one logic game section, and another with reading comprehension. I took them at the end of September and did not do as well as I wanted.
My advice is to start studying early. I decided three weeks before, and only worked through a book and a few practice exams. It will be the most mentally taxing day of your life thus far (unless you took the MCAT or CPA) so be prepared.
Lucky for you V math isn't on there, but it is no joke. I was hoping to get into a top ten, but will have to settle for second tier unless I can pull them up when I take them again in a few years.
And my midterms came in at a 3.8, but I have always pulled them up by the end of the semester.

thanks for the heads up Greg. I definitely will be taking the practice LSats and reading up on a lot of stuff before I take the leap. Next hardest thing will be the BAR.

One thing I forgot to add. Take a practice exam and see how you score first. They publish the last LSAT so you can download it and take it on your own. Do that first to see where you stand. Depending on where you want to go to school you could be set already. If you are a few points short then a practice book may be enough. If you need around 10 points then I would say take a class and really put the time in. I would say anything beyond 15 points and you should look else where.
Unfortunately, for most people, the LSATs are weighted very heavily. There was a recent study that drew a direct connection between LSAT score and one's ability to pass the bar. So that means law schools put a lot of value on it. There is some sort of index they use that is a product of GPA and LSAT score, similar to other grad programs. So having a high GPA, which you seem to be doing, is the other big factor.
