I started working for Land Rover back in 2001 washing cars and moved up to oragnaizing our rental cars and appointments right before we were bought out. I got hired on the last day we were open as a "floater" service advisor filling in when needed but mostly assisting Lincoln/Mercury for the last year and a half.
Last night my friend, a Land Rover advisor, was fired and the owner of the dealership called me to tell me to come in early and fill in. I fill in all the time but I showed up this morning and was told that they are "changing" things and are moving the top jaguar advisor w/ the best CSI score to Land Rover to help our customer satisfaction score and move me to the Jaguar side and get my own team starting on Monday. This is such a huge deal to me because not only do I get paid a lot more but I am by far the youngest advisor at the dealership. There are 6 people including the land rover guy that got fired and they are all 38 to 50. I'm 25 and that's very young for a service advisor at a high end dealership in one of the richest areas near Washington DC. I'm ready for the challenge but it's going to be a long first couple of weeks. 7:30am-6:00 (usually 6:30) and every other saturday. Hopefuly I'll be making my first home purchase next year when I'm more settled in!!!

Congrats! But don't even think about buying a home for several years- You'll be giving up all your extra income in the form of housing price deflation!!! The bubble is FINALLY bursting

the new XK is so sexy. Even at our new employee lease special it's still like $680 a month w/ a couple grand down. I drove a convertible on a 30 min. drive when they first came out and got sooo many looks. If I ever bought a car sold at my dealership it would be a Range Rover Sport.

I hope I don't have to wait years. I refuse to rent an apt. and I don't want to live w/ the parents forever. It's expensive enough to rent so I have been saving for awhile for a downpayment. We will see how these next couple of months go first.
