Been with this girl for 2.5 years. She goes out with her friends occasionally. Thats cool. But it seems like every time she goes out, she has 3-4 guys come up and either talk to her, or start touching her, fuckin idiots. Anyway, heres my question. I gave her a ring a while back, which she wears on her right ring finger. It is too much to ask for her to swap it over to her left hand ring finger when she goes out? That way at least SOME guys will have the decency to leave her alone.

Don't sell your car to 16 year olds...

Yes, that's too much to ask her. That left ring ringer is VERY important to a girl. Yes that's as stupid as it sounds but women are bat shit crazy so don't try to understand it. Besides, you think some sleeze bucket club trash is going to give a shit which hand she's wearing jewelry on? I doubt it.

You just have to trust her dude. What she does with that trust is entirely up to her and you're just going to have to deal with it. The root of the problem is more of you not trusting her.

Very true I have been with my chick 4 years now you have to trust her. Question can you go out on your own and be trusted? Then why cant she. Its hard I know

My GF is hot to the point people have asked me how in the hell did you get her. (really not bragging) She gets hit on 3 to 4 times a day. The trick is we talk we hang out and listen to eachother. When a guy asks her out all she says is sure you dont mind if my BF comes too. Most people get the point.

If you can trust her, cool then trust her.

If you cant why are you even with her.

My GF is my best friend.

We will build you bigger and stronger

Wake up and drive my ass... More like wake up and fix it.

unless you give her a ring designed for the left hand, you shouldn't expect her to wear it on that side. If you're that serious about her, then do it, if not, quit your whining and point her out, so I can hit on her.

Switching the ring over to another finger means nothing my friend. It's like an old man once told me, a ring is only good for plugging holes in a wall. Your main concern should be, if your girl is going out with her friends just to have fun why are guys coming up to her like they know her and touching her. Call me old fashioned but I think the problem with young people now in days is that they think everything is fine. If a girl wants to go out with her male coworkers for lunch, the boyfriend's response is ,"It's ok, they're just friends." That's the biggest pile of BS denial that I have ever heard. Basically there is no reason why a man and woman should be hanging out if they already have a significant other. Unless the girl is family a guy usually sees a woman in one way. Either he screwed her already or he's planning on screwing her. Tell your girl to ditch the guy friends unless your not too serious about the relationship, in that case leave it as is and get yourself some girlfriends on the side.

Theyre all girlfriends, one guy involved, hes very gay lol. Its not an issue with trust, she has just complained before that she hates it when guys come up on the dance floor when shes dancing with her girlfriends. So i suggested to swap the ring to the other side while shes out so it doesnt happen, i completely trust her. But she wasnt very happy with the suggestion.

Yes it is.

Originally posted by Nine5eclipse03she has just complained before that she hates it when guys come up on the dance floor when shes dancing with her girlfriends. Girls do not hate getting attention and that line is a load of horse shit. Girls say that kinda shit to get your panties all up in a bunch. She did it so she can judge your reaction. It's one of those mind fuck games where they can see how much they are worth to you. Trust me on this. If it were just girls night out why are they getting all gussied up? Hrm? They aren't a bunch of lesbo's so who are they trying to impress at a club?

So I'm out and about and some girl starts flirting with me. What's the one thing I'm NOT gonna do? "Hey hon, so I was down at the club the other night and this girl started hitting on me. Man do I hate that. I was just out with the guys!"

Don't you realize how stupid that sounds? Pretty god damn stupid. emoji

Don't play into that shit, man. I'm not saying be a dick about it maybe it should go something like this:

"Like 3 guys hit on me at the club when I was out with the girls! I hate that!"
"Tell them you eat carpet and they can't watch or die in a fire."
"I don't want to be mean!"
"I thought you hated it..."

Cue change of subject.

Issues?? I guess your one of those guys who thinks it's ok for your girl to go out with other men who are only "friends". Good luck buddy.

Why do you think she wasn't happy with the suggestion? It's because she wants to go out and not give guys the impression that she's completely off limits. If she really loves you and sees how much it bothers you when she gets hit on, she would switch the ring over to the left hand for the few hours that she is out dancing.

Um....issues, lol.

My wife has male friends, got no problem with that. She's a pretty good looking MILF who I trust wholeheartedly. Kinda like the Barney song "I love her, she loves me. We're a happy family.. emoji " You guys might want to check out the mirror on that stuff (not literally figuratively). If YOU can't trust her in social situations, then how strong is that relationship?

Hell, she ain't gonna find anyone better than me anyway emoji
I'm a helluva catch (yeah I got confidence issues - I'm too self confident emoji )

I think what we are all missing here is the hint! She easily could have made the decision to switch the ring to the other hand on her own to avoid the rentless torrent of unwanted advances. But she didn't instead mentioned it to you, and you suggested it. Then She got pissed. Think like a woman guy's, she wants you to give her the "real" Left hand ring brother. You have been together 2.5 years it sounds like she is ready to take the next step, the question is are you? 2.5 years is like decades to chicks when they are dating.. That's why she got offended when you said something about switching it on over, she wants the real thing...
What we need is a chicks advice on this one......

Were not there yet in our lives. I'm 22 she is 21. Both fresh out of school and searching for good paying long term jobs. We have talked about it numerous times and both came to an agreement on what time will be right.

From what I've learned, females "need" attention and self reassurance that they are attractive, that's why they dress up and go out, they just want to get noticed. Sure you may compliment her all the time and give her all the attention you possibly can, but to them it's not enough. Think of it kinda like a beauty contest, they don't want just one vote, they want everyone's vote. You've been with her 2.5 years, so obviously you two have a connection. I know it's hard to trust someone believe me but if you really love her and vice versa then you shouldn't worry about it. Who does she come home to every night?.... you

Switching the ring to the left hand will just offer the guy more friction...if she's left handed of course.

You don't want her wearing a ring on the other finger, trust us.

Besides, if she's gonna fuck other guys, nothing you say, nor anything symbolic she does, is going to stop her.

Either be comfortable with the fact she's attractive to other people besides you, and take it as a compliment when she chooses to come home with you instead of them, or leave and find someone ugly that nobody will hit on.
