Well, New to me. Yeah, I love my Z cars. emoji

1988 300zx Turbo with 135000 miles for $1300! This thing is nice, worth over $3000 imo. That rust spot on the fender is it's worst rust spot, and an easy fix. interior is nice, leather, loaded, sweeeet. Gotta rebuild the t3 turbo, should run me like $75. It's totally seized up, but the motor runs like a champ. Got at least another 100,000 miles in it.

Congrats! Not bad for the price at all. Is the turbo charged Z next to it yours too?

A little off topic but I spoke to an advisor at my university a few years back who was crazy with the old Z's. He was a Z fanatic. His whole office was full of old Z pics and models and he said that he was in a huge Z car club that would meet every year. At the time he said he was bringing back to life an 80's Z that was in bad shape and that he was having a hard time hunting down some of the parts.

yeah the orange one is mine too. You can generally find parts for the old ones from people parting out z's with bad bodys, but they aren't cheap. emoji

I keep missing out on old 240 to 280 Z's from the 70's around here, always a few bucks short or a day late, I love the 1st generation body Z's

someday I will have one, then the insanity will begin... and it's name shall be RB26

Nice pick up Derick. I personally like the "2nd" gen 300zx's better, but you can't complain about the price emoji

Don't you have a '78ish 240Z too...or did you get rid of that?

About $12k to do it semi-right. $7000 for the kit and $5000 for a motor rebuild. emoji It's forged now, just need $2000 for a fucking clutch. :/

I had an old z31 a couple years ago. Same style as this one. But it was beat, timing belt went at 265k miles hah. Did me good for $200. This one is in waaay better shape. I still plan on picking up a early model 280z, probably next summer. They look as cool as the 240's and are easier to find with a decent body. They have better trannys too.
