Yup, walked in to class early that morning, my teacher watching a live transmision. I remember seeing a woman jump from a window. I felt a chill down my spine. They never did show that image again. Forgetting would be like killing them all over again.

i remember that too... except i had just gotten out of physics class where we were talking about terminal velocities, as an example the instructor used people jumping off of buildings on a worksheet. Next period we watched cnn where they showed the images of people jumping off the buildings, the physics instructor came to everyones 2nd period classes and personally collected everyones worksheets and tore them up.

I had been in Phoenix all of one week on 9/11. My brother called to wake me up to turn on the TV. "What channel?" "Any of them." I'll never forget how silent the skies over Phoenix were that week. Damn.

Never forget.

I just had a emotional flash back to that morning. I remember there was no cars driving through the streets,or people out side, and every one stayed in their class rooms for lunch. Not because of fear, but I think people were glued to the TV, trying to figure out if it was real. Alot like when we had the Cedar fires here in SoCal.

I was in school when I heard. The teachers told us to remember this day, because this day would be the Pearl Harbor of our lifetime.

I remember my father showing up at my school in military uniform to say goodbye because he assumed he would be deployed and didn't know for how long. I still had no idea what was actually going on because everything going around school seemed to just be rumors. I went home with my father and stared at the tv for hours literally in shock at what was happening and what was being shown on tv. It's definetly a day I'll never forget.

Honestly I wish people would remember 9/10/01.

We lost a lot more than 2,975 civilians on 9/11.

I had to work that day. I work for AA at DFW airport, Americans main hub. The place was so quiet that you could here birds singing. Very spooky. 120 or so jets on the ground and not one making a sound.
All gave some
Some gave all

i used to work at fedex and there were a few days when i could remember a tarmac full of planes and not a sound to be heard.

i was in 2nd period senior english when the tv turned on to the news. the rest of the day we just sat there. im not sure that we even went to 3rd/4th period classes.

My grandfather woke me up with a phone call to say I should be watching the news. I walked out to my living room and my roommate was already watching it.

I asked him what movie he was watching. emoji

6 years later and it still seems too surreal.

i actually saw it b4 the news knew what happened . my school is not to far from the the towers with a perfect view . i saw the first plane hit and nobody believed me so we all turned on the news and they said maybe a helicopter so everyone still didnt believe me then the whole class saw the second plane hit .we heard the sound of impact a couple min later and could smell the smoke and see ashes raining down . it was unimaginable . i was able to see the towers from my bedroom windo all of my life then see it crumble b4 my eyes . its one thing that is impossible to forget . everyone one seems to forget the 747 plane that crashed a week later in rockaway ny 10 blocks from my house . that was also just as crazy as school was cancelled because there was a 747 wing in back of my school .
