I sold it today for $6500. I was asking $7000 and throwing in spare parts (transmission, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, 220 MPH gauge cluster, upper fairing stay, etc). The guy hit me at $6000, so I countered with $6500 and no parts.

He came with cash and left with only the bike today. I'm excited, yet very sad.

The 'bus' was fun, but I'm looking to an 03/04 GSXR1000 (or 05 if the price is right), or an 04/05 GSXR750 (or 06 if the price is right). I wanted something more suited to road course racing and the bus didn't gain that alias for no reason.

I think I'm gonna add $500-$800 to the $6500 and buy what I can.

I was always scared of those beasts. There's this dealer on Long Island that is trying to get rid of the 06 gixxers and check this out. Any bike you buy, 600cc or more, they throw in an 06 gixxer for free. I'm not sure what catch 22 is, but I'm considering selling my R6 and going for a 750 or 1000.

You probably have to pay MSRP on the first one, which they're knocking your head off at that price. It goes to show how much they make per bike, but I'd look into it.

the Busa II looks to be a litte more track friendly then the first. they slimmed it down, no more ugly hump. handles in the curves better. but daaammn that seems like a good deal with that 2 for 1 if there isnt any catch to it. my dad has a 07 gsxr 750, its nice but the ony thing i dont like about it is that it sits too high...also ive put too much love and money into my f4i. right now its hell of alot quicker then the 750 which is stock.

Hell, I'm 6'5" @ 200# and ride a CBR600RR.

Don't know if I'll ever upgrade to another sportbike though.

Majority of people don't really need anything more. They're light, great on the street, get excellent mileage, and are cheap(er) to insure.

When comparing a 600 to a 750, you have basically the same bike you have now (GSXR's of the same year weigh the same), but with more HP & TQ, about like throwing a 20 shot of the dope on it.

The 1000 is only a few more pounds, but quite a bit more HP & TQ, like running a 40 shot (or more) on top of the 600.

I rode my wife's 600 and there's no way I could go back to a 600 after riding the busa. I just want something with similar power that's nimble.

I want it for the track, though. Eventually, I'll probably get a 750 track-only bike, but finances don't support that now.

from what i hear 1000's are a bit more street friendly due to their low end torquiness. the 600's youve gotta keep way up in the rev's. i know of several people who ride a liter on the street and a 600 at the track.
