I respect the old Mopar muscle. I love it. it gives me a chub just thinking about old Hemi cars.
That being said...
I don't give a fuck what any of you think, how you think they're selling out the old cars, forgetting what made them great, etc, etc, blah blah blah.
I'd buy it just because it's a World engine (technologically derived from the 420A, among others) and it's called - *gasp* the fucking Demon. Roots be damned, Chrysler has the rights on the name and no other Big Three has the fucking balls to make a Demon.
Hell, I don't care what it is. You don't build a piece of shit car and call it a Demon. That's a Pinto. That's a Nova. If you have the fucking nuts to build it and call it a Demon, fuckin A, it's gonna be something.
Chrysler is known for building crazy-stupid cars sometime. Think HEMI Cuda. Think SuperBee. Think MOPAR. Think SRT4 Neon. Think SRT6 Crossfire. Think SRT10 Viper, and, oh fuck wait - a motherfucking Ram truck with the same motor. Shit! They're losing their ass selling cars that are, in a nutshell, nuts.
They're not going to make something, call it a Demon, and have it be like a Caviler. No. This is going to go after the Solstice GXP, The Saturn Sky, whatever Ford's two-seater offering is, in a range less than the Crossfire.
I think it'll be a cross between the GM Solstice/Sky and the SRT4 Neon - RWD, overpowered, unrefined, made for the enthusiast.
I think it's a good thing. ______________________________ If a sentence found online has 35% misspellings or greater and includes at least two racially charged expletives, chances are it is a YouTube comment.
