ok....so im pretty pissed. i was just watching this review on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=tY9H8_nEPBA and was informed that fuckin hugo weaving is going to be the voice of megatron.........THAT IS BANME! SHIT. whats even worse is the original voice of megatron is going to be in the video. this doesnt make sense. its fuckin lame.

i liked this review a lot and it made some really good points...especially about the trilogy and more importantly, the original voice of optimus is going to be it. thank god peter cullen is still alive...wish i could say the same for starscream/cobra commanders voice.

that is all

it's not that bad. Hugo Weaving is a great actor and I heard his voice over in a clip and its not that bad. This has got to be the most anticipated movie since ID4 for a July 4th opening.

at least they got the original actor for optimus! who cares about megatron? I always found his voice annoying. I loved leonard Nimoy doing the voice for galvatron in the movie

Is it just me? Or has GM gotten their hands into this project and tried to subtly turn it into a giant Chevy commerical? Nearly every car I see in the commercials is a Chevy. What's up with that? I know the original cars had to be generic for the cartoon, but they could have mixed it up a bit, ya know?

Also a bit bummed that Optimus isn't a cab-over like he should be.

And the final straw...

Next time you're in Target or Wal-Mart, go past the toy section and check out the Transformers toys. This close to opening day, they're all on the end-caps of the aisles. THEY ARE ACTUALLY SELLING TRANSFORMERS THAT DO NOT TRANSFORM!

That's bullshit, right there. Bumblebee's cover is now completely blown...

(I'm going to see the movie a week from today during the day to avoid the rush.)

Thats our day and age now. AutoBlog announced the advertising campaign early last month. I don't play many games so I haven't actually seen it but I remember an article about some Online RPG that had in-game ads based on the cookies found on the user's computer. I hate being slapped in the face with as much as the next person but now it's getting almost unavoidable. Movies, games, etc. Wouldn't it be fucked up if you were waiting in the doctor's office and started seeing e-ad's on the wall change to reflect what you put on the information sheet you had to fill in when you walked in the door? *shudders*

during the transformers show i watched on digital (forget which channel).. they mentioned that they had contacted a lot of different auto makers (including ferarri, jaguar, porsche, etc.) to help with the theme and ask to allow use of certain brand/makes of vehicles..

GM stepped up and got the whole shebang, imo (at least from what i saw on the show and from the commercials i have been seeing).

cheers

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT A MOVIE! IT'S AN EVENT!

Phew... just got back, it was total madness. 6screens in one theatre they were all sold out. I was in line from 6:30 til they let us in at 7:45. You've never seen anything like this. the volume was cranked thru the roof it felt like the bots were actually running thru the room. Everyone was cheering and clapping. This movie is PURE entertainment and nothing else. You leave the theater wanting your car to transform haha... you look at it like come on, just once. haha... You begin to think about the other movies that came out this summer such as emo-man 3, FF4ROTSS, POTC3, and DH4 this movie just took a giant shit all over them. The movie isn't w/o flaws but you really just don't give a fuck, you're too busy laughing or sitting at the edge of your seat in this spectacle. Everyone go f'n enjoy!!!!

I have to say a lot of the changes they made fit perfectly. Everything from Megatron's voice, to BB being a camaro it just fit. It would've been terrible to see a vw bug trying to outrun a saleen stang. Rachel Taylor(the aussie) and Megan Fox were just too damn hott. I have to admit, Frenzy(the boombox) was hilarious and a nasty little sob. I can't wait for TF2, hopefully we get Soundwave and Devastator(yeah i noticed the Tank was devastator in the movie, but according to everything i've read he was suppsoed to be named Brawl(as thats what the toy is called) and it was a goof up. So hopefully by HDDVD they fix it.

Just saw it. This movie did not just take a shit on all the summer movies so far, but it didn't even bother giving a reach around. It wasn't too short or too long. Just right. As for BumbleBee not beeing a beetle, they did pay homage to it in one scene. I won't say which scene, but it's funny. I can see a part 2 in the making. You guys who were disappointed with FF2 and SM3 or even DH4, Transformer will make up for all 3 movies. Optimus Prime is the PwnR!

It was nuts what they need to do is this. Michael Bay directing the action and James Cameron directing the real people. I was blown away It gives me some hope if they ever do a mechwarrior movie.

Yeah it was really well done. Great movie.

About the GM thing... GM helped out a lot with the movie (as far as cars go) and a lot of the city scenes were shot here in Detroit. Bay loves shooting here for some reason. The old building the kid climbs at the end is the old train station downtown, the same place Bay shot the ending scene of The Island. I used to play paintball in that building when i was younger. It's cool to know that wasn't the only epic showdown that building had ever seen hah

I saw it last night as well, and like everyone else said it was awesome.
I have seen all the summer sequels and this is by far the best movie of the summer.

Just got in from seeing this movie. IMO, this is the greatest movie I have ever seen. I have never left a theatre wanting to go right back in and watch the movie again. Un-fucking-believable. I've sent my father-in-law (to be) an email asking if he wants to go see it with me tomorrow when he gets off work. It's that good.

If you know what a Transformer is, you absolutely HAVE TO see this movie. Wow.

It is my most favoritest movie ever. and a Camaro gave a Mustang a Galactic BEAT DOWN!!! Optimus had about as much Chrome as any one truck should and this movie will be MINE the day it is released on DVD.

Speaking of a long flight home when you coming back the the good ole US of A bro?

I have to say that it was way better than any other movie I have paid to go and see. It fucking kicked ass!!! I am soooo stoked after the movie, I am going to go and see it again. My little boy thought it was way better then Spiderman 3. I heard that it broke some records too. There will have to be another movie to come out.
