yeah ummm....never heard that kinda music paired with a car vid. who's to say it really happened, cuz anyone can make up a dyno sheet in PS, or have a sheet for another vehicle. id have thought all that air going in at the very low rpm's would messed big time with the motor.

when it comes to music and cars i prefer either some good hard rock, or some opera for an exotic. but i guess the music does suit the video...gay

Jesus, lead a horse to water......

This has been done on other cars. So I'm sure it is for real. Kinda funny though. I believe that someone used a hair dryer also. I may try it on my next set of runs.

WHAT THE FUGG!!!???

Well ofcourse it's going to add power. It's forcing more air into the engine.

Ever seen those electric superchargers and those cheap-o electric "turbos" that bolt on after the air filter? Same deal. Waste of money. Ghetto as fuck. Great experiment but ghetto. Nothing beats hearing a turbo spool up and the bov go psssshaaaawww when the throttle is released.

Yeah. A small enough amount that the ECU can still increase injector duty cycle to compensate without going lean...

Well, I can think of one, no two things that beat a 200whp turbo car and blue anodized BOV salute...

1) Being behind the wheel of any one of 98% of the cars seen in www.youtube.com/watch?v=kspQwUpVbJU. I've been to this show. To hell with Viagra. If you can't get it up at Cars & Coffee, then you're a 'Mo.

2) Hearing a Tial 50mm BOV hooked up backwards to bypass boost pressure generated by the Eaton M62 supercharger prior to about 40% throttle before you hear the BOV snap shut (it's like a salute, but more controlled) and the turbo forces about 20psi into the supercharger, resulting absolutely ZERO lag as a 450awhp+ Talon pins you into your seat on your way to 6000rpm. Per the owner, who's done the math, when that Tial shuts, the effective displacement of the engine almost doubles to 3.8L (and that's just at about 2000rpm).

As for that video... Where have you been, man? Assuming a modest 10% hotlink ratio, that video has been posted almost 60,000 times already. Haha.

Long story short, the car is my friend Ray's twincharged Talon. 94 TSi AWD running BOTH an 18G AND an Eaton M62. It's plumbed like this...

K&N > 18G > DSM SMIC > M62 > FMIC > TB.

One day last week, he threw me the keys for the afternoon so I could make an interview while the Galant was next door to his shop getting tires mounted. A 4th gear pull to prevent some choad from cutting me off when his lane (the far outer) ended resulted in my blowing the water injection line out of the intake pipe, the MBC off it's support (into the fan), and a coupler off the front mount.

This car is beyond scary. There is no lag. None. Zero.

#3 being in the infield and hearing the scream of a formula1 engine at 19,000 rpms and then feeling the air being pulled out of your lungs as the cars rip past you. WOW
