I know a guy that bought a '85 Conquest. Since it isn't a TSI it has no front mount or bov. Well, he goes and buys a RFL, cuts a hole in the charge pipe, has a piece of exhuast pipe welded into it, and puts the bov on. Well, I come by there later that evening, and he tells me that it isn't working anymore. So, I pop the hood, and no vacuum source to the bov. I look at him puzzled, and said no wonder it don't work, it don't have a vacuum line. He looks at me, and goes it was working earlier and starts revving the crap outta it. I tell him to stop, and ask what the crap he is talking about, and he had cut the spring so much that it would open without a vacuum source. I about crapped on myself, and I had thought that I seen it all. Has anyone heard of this one before? I know he don't know nothing about turbo cars, but man, you just don't go cuttin stuff you don't know about.

Haha. I thought "Pulling a Homer" meant you managed to save the say despite massively fucking something up. emoji

You should tell your buddy that's what happens when he doesn't wear the googles.

That is one of the craziest things that I have ever seen/heard of. I just stood there, shocked. I don't know if he ever had the car running good, or if he gave up. He got a loan to buy performance parts/tune-up parts for it, but instead bought pedal covers, shift knob, bov, cold air for a honda, and other crap. I lost interest in helping when I seen all the junk he got. I told him to do a tune-up, then start with bpu's. He also bought a boost controller and wanted to know why it wouldn't go over 9 psi. Shew, poor car. Just had to turn the head and walk away. Anyone know anyone like this!

Far too many around these parts. That guy doesn't deserve to own a Conquest!

Haha, "Strong like bull" My room mate who knows little about turbo cars asked me why I welded the stock flange on my front mount kit piping and I told him the 1g BOV is one of the best BOV's you can get for the coin.

...he still dont believe me.
